I think you have exactly the right hunting spirit! So few of us will find the medallion. We must find joy in pondering clues, strolling the parks, exploring
Here is a picture I took of the bench with a plaque dedicated to Eyedea, however I did not see that same quote in the newspaper on this plaque. Scouting
They show you the plaque (though they don't linger on it long enough for you to really read it) --and that it's next to a bench--in the "hiding the medallion"
there is a metal (possibly bronze) plaque embedded in the ground next to a park bench just across Cherokee from the main park playground area, moderately
I read the webpage that announces the Eyedea bench dedication, but it doesn't give the location within the park. Can anyone tell me which one it is? Thanks!
I think the Archimedes clue and the Barker clue were unbelievably bad! I agree with your assessment of the clues in general, David. I miss the old cluewriter -
hey Bob that's real close to where i was digging - just a stones throw from that backstop fence is a large gathering of bare trees and shrubby/viney stuff all
I was in Cherokee on Monday, Tuesday night, and Wednesday morning at the time the medallion was found (very exciting! and sooo close!). We also went again on
Thanks for a fun awppp once again aw. Some day you'll win my ppp. Or maybe not. :). Please apply my winnings to our entry fee for your hunt and use extra
Thanks for all of your input David, and for hosting this site. It was a fun "hunt" (online only, for me), if pretty confusing. I kept hoping to see a song clue

You have a point here that is probably worth emphasizing for learning how to deal with these clues in the future. The years I tend to be most off track are
Thanks for the effort. It was certainly fun as always, I regret that the weather prevented me from driving to the cities for the activities. The problem I had
David thank you for the recap. You are being astutely "nice" by giving an overall C+ as a final grade. I'm not a writer. I'm a graphic designer and think
I had the happy holidays pair as a twin giant pair of evergreens in the thin sliver of land close to page street. The crosby hunt had "white christmas" on clue
The Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt is part of the St. Paul Winter Carnival every year. While the prize can only go to one winner, The Allison Wonderland is dedicated to the community spirit of treasure hunting. Here, not only will you find out about the Pre-Dig Gig, the Rehash Bash, and various other social events, but we also discuss the clues here in a team effort to decipher them (albeit not always successfully). This is a place to discuss ideas respectfully, report on what's happening "on the ground", and provide each other with useful information. This is a public group so expect that anything posted will be seen by everyone.
