The evidence for Vento is I think fairly good. And cherokee definitely fits better than the sanctuary or the actual trail. Interesting tidbit, there was a

Took me forever to read thru to my post. Sorry. Yes Cleveland is the clue that ostensibly led Jake to his find [on 2nd clue?] that year it was in Hidden Falls

"What part of that clue then is not a red herring?" This is exactly the problem I am having. How long are we supposed to go on solving the clues, ie.,

As best to say is a phonetic thing no a direct spelling. I don't think the extra letters matter as the point is made that it is definitely referring to Vento.

If Cherokee is full, I'd like Lilydale today. As far as whether the Vento overlook is a separate park from cherokee, I think we should just go by what the PP

Yes, it could mean that. Or, yesterday I thought it was referring to the big anchor at Harriet. L. To: theallisonwonderland@yahoogroups.com From:

Anchors could also mean Lilydale with the boats that used to anchor there when the town was on the floodplain...no?

That's the problem with near rhyme, and I hate it. :( But if this is the same cluewriter as last year, near rhyme is fair game ala what a good man should do

Well I have found over the years that once a clue is one thing it doesn't have to be another. So by deciding that "Anchor's away" is the anagram that removes

Where is the car wash near Cherokee? You cannot discount that- even if it is an anagram. Is there one in the vicinity?

David, why can't Lilydale be the Vento tie to Harriet? If you assume Harriet-Lilydale is a pair and one of them is a red herring? L. To:

I agree that, in hindsight, everyrthing in clue 8 that made you think Harriet fit just as well to Cherokee. I don't think it matters, but according to the map

That's a lot of street names for Cherokee that span literally the entire park.  And then there's this odd focus at the same time on Bruce Vento whose only tie

Well my argument for Cherokee now lies in clue 8... Yon a car wash cuts to the chase, "Anchors Away" = Navy = Annapolis St. (south boundary) And equal rights

Ok, forget what I said earlier about the park pick pool.  Clearly we are not at a concensus point.  Choose whatever park you like though I'm pretty sure
