Insider Alert: The Mutual Services insurance sign with Joe Vavrosky explained the fire and brimstone. Vavrosky was president of the Fire and Brimstone Club made up of former vulcans. This clue refers to the Coachman Restaurant and Dey Florists at Dale and Maryland, as well as pheasants nesting and cattails on Loeb shore. Much has changed since this clue was written, but the cattails are still there.
