Treasure hunters have until Saturday to register their Winter Carnival buttons if they want to be eligible for an additional $5,000.
That money is only awarded if someone with a properly registered button finds the medallion. It comes in addition to $2,500 for finding the button and $2,500 for having all the daily clues.
To register, by Saturday, go to winter-carnival.com or fill out the entry form that comes with the buttons.
