2014 Coldest Hunter's Lost Treasure Hunt, Winter Edition

The use of the word "Hunt" twice is a vague reference to the street Hunt Pl, which is very close to the hiding spot. Please be respectful of private property because the medallion is hidden on the edge of the park across the street from peoples homes. Hints that you will need to pay attention to something that comes first, in this case the first letter in each clue will spell ST ANTHONY REC.

"The city of 7 hills" is St Paul. "The product of winter" is snow and ice, which hints that the medallion is hidden in the snow. "Being within ten" hints the medallion is within 10 paces from the nearest marker. "Triple M" is a reference to the Medallion Militia Medallion, (and a ruthless red herring for 3M). "A tiny wave" is a microwave, if a microwave is to reflect that would be a function of a radar. In this case it's the doppler radar visible from the medallion.

The "huge circle" is the St Paul grand rounds, which is a bicycle trail. The grand rounds runs very close to St Anthony Rec.This clue hinted at what triple M is, the Medallion Militia Medallion. Savior is a religious reference, there is a church nearby the park. The last two lines refer to what the medallion is hidden in, a Brookside chocolate candy bag. "Sweet fruits" alludes to the idea.

The medallion is hidden on the edge of the city and Ramsey County, also the edge of the park. " sweet as candy" refers to the concealer."Handy" is a reference to the business across the street called "Handi". "Double Pledge" is a reference to the two US flags that are visible from the medallion, one on the pole the other on the wall of Gopher Bearing across the street.

The word "simulate" is a reference to the Simulation Center across the street and is visible from the medallion. "need to rest" is a reference to the many benches nearby the medallion."Christmas" has a religious reference for the nearby church, also there is xmas lights visible from the medallion. It also tells you the medallion is frozen in ice and buried in the snow.

"Creative visual solution" is the slogan for the business across the street called Budget Sign. From the spot of the medallion you can see 3 shapes in the distance: triangle= Witch Tower, Sphere= doppler radar, rectangle= the top of the international building.

This clue tells you Battle Creek is a red herring. The medallion is hidden in a park close to the St Paul Grand Rounds. "Go for" is wordplay for (GOPHER) then add bearing and you get the business across the street called Gopher Bearing. Also reminds you to pay attention the the visuals mentioned in clue 6.

Saint Cecilia is the patroness of musicians. It is written that as the musicians played at her wedding she "sang in here heart to the lord". She was born in Rome which is built on 7 hills.Saint Cecilia Church is nearby St Anthony Rec. "the falls" is the St Anthony Falls.

Both the math problems equal 80, so you have two 80's, which is word play for Hwy 280 nearby. Also the first problems hints to the candy bag concealer and the medallion is closer to the hockey rink then the tennis and baseball field.

There is a prayer called "unfailing prayer to St Anthony" which alludes to St Anthony Rec. There is a blank no parking sign near the treasure site. "On a cold and frosty morning" "and my feet are nearly frozen" are song lyrics to a song called "Dead End Street" made buy the Kinks. The medallion was hidden close to a dead end street. A place named for saints is St Anthony Rec.

The Wonder Worker and Father Of The Monks are nicknames for St Anthony. The medallion is close to no parking signs. The "right place to hunt" is Hunt Pl which is a dead end street. The medallion is on the ground between the 3 chained posts and the horseshoe pit. PA's famous curve is a horseshoe shaped curve alluding to the horseshoe pit. If one was standing between the pit and the posts you can see the 3 shapes mentioned in clue 6.
