PAST HUNTS

Introduction:

Greetings earthlings, we’ve been observing

Your every movement since last years hunt.

We learned of the treasure, from your displeasures,

During your unrest — and crazy stunts.

We the Space Pirate Empire, will light the fire,

Decoding the mythic route to the gold.

From distant planets, galactic bandits,

Just as the cosmic prophecy foretold.

To start our venture, to Coldest’s Lost Treasure,

We studied each of the past locations.

Thus we have surmised, the spot of the prize,

Warp speed pirates! We’re close to predation!

Explanation:

  • the introduction references each of the past locations of Coldest Lost Treasure. If one was to go to each spot, they would discover a baggie containing a posted note with a glyph drawn with a pen. The intro also references using fire, if one was to put a flame up to the glyph in a quick manner to make sure they don’t burn the paper, it would erase some ink and reveal a letter. If one was able to collect them all the message says “ITS ACORN”. The glyphs were drawn with elemental ink.

SECRET CLUES ALONG THE WAY:

  1. The finder of Hunt #4 in our 5 Weekends of Treasure event and the finder of our Minecraft Hunt a few months back were awarded a Bonus Clue Voucher they were able to cash in at the start of this event. Their bonus clue had a line of glyphs on it that were drawn on with elemental ink. After you put a flame up to eraser the ink the message says: “STAY OUT OF SAINT PAUL”.

  2. The finder of Hunt #4 of our 5 Weekends of Treasure was given a physical paper that said Bonus Clue Voucher. Not only did that award him the bonus clue at the start of this event, it also involved another bonus clue.... on the back of the paper was the name “Roseville” drawn ok with invisible ink. When you put a black light up it will reveal the message. The Treasure Medallion was hidden in the city of Roseville.

  3. If one were to draw a line from all 5 location from our 2021 5 weekends of Treasure event it would make a circle around the city of Roseville.

  4. A few weeks before this years Coldest Lost Treasure hunt we updated the group Photo of the Medallion Militia page and Private Facebook Group. We put the Coldest Lost Treasure logo in the treasure chest, but we also put a faint acorn next to it to the left hand side in the dirt. Suggesting Acorn Park.

  5. This year we offered Premium Registration for the first 10 hunters. They received a gift package with a personalized hand written note from the clue writer. On the back of these notes was the word “ROSE” written in invisible ink. There was a letter in each corner of the note.
