Denephew...Newell makes sense, except for one thing....they have "never" given away the name of the park so early in the game. And with the $10,000, I can't

believe they would pick this year to do that; and that is a fairly small park.

speaking of the saints you can see midway stadium from devils den and clue 4 says " but there's VALUE as WELL as IN the NEW" that explains itself and if you

spell the letters out of the clues it spells SAINTS FA Im guessing we will see an N in todays clue.

WHO IS GOING OUT TO NEWELL TONIGHT ?

Fri, 01/29/1999 - 6:55 PM Permalink
snostar

where exactly is Newell??

Fri, 01/29/1999 - 6:56 PM Permalink
James Olson

Clue 4 talks about studying the past and the new, and clue 5 talks about learning. What at Newell fits that description?

yes but iconoclast can also mean something different like a rebel. It could possibly mean they could do things different as give the name of the park, but if they do

then they will just tell you things around the park that you can see from the spot of the medallion.

"studying the past can be quite a blast" The torpedo in como hence "blast" and the torpedo has many names on it which a few were famous for a period of time. im

not saying the medallion is by the torpedo but it does have something to do with it

....Here comes wishbone...and theyre off!!!

Other than the "new" in clue 4, why is everyone thinking Newell?

Fri, 01/29/1999 - 6:58 PM Permalink
Dave Chanhassen

Have any of you been to Newell to see how much it has been ripped up already??

Jerod-look at the second sentance in clue #4, ..."But theres value as well in the new..." Keywords>> well+new=newell! I also have plenty more reasons, you just

should've been here last night!

AllieGo - I agree with you that they never seem to give the name of the park right away. But- in years past I have seen them point to one park early, switch to

another park, just to turn around and switch back to the original. I usually go with the clues as they come. I would never stay in NP if the clues pointed elsewhere :)

I say this for a number of reasons. Longfellow Magnet School (Who was Longfellow but a famous writer i.e. tomes)

Both have Steep Hills in them but a lot of area without

One is near but NOT a golf course

Both have a lot of History associated with them

Both are near I-94 one also near Hwy 5

Just a few of the clues. . .

From Woodbury take 94 to the Snelling Ave. exit and go North to University ave. At University go left (west) to Fairview (Arby's restaurant is on the south corner)

and take a right. When you get to Pierce Butler, you'll know it because you can't go any farther. Besides the park runs along Fairview for about 3-4 blocks Can't

miss it. GOOD LUCK!

the new. I believe that to mean there are new clues hidden in the old clues from 95 (look also at the familiar numbers). Check out old clue #7 and compare to new

clue # 5.

Here's a stretch...wouldn't an iconoclast maybe be thrown behind bars?? Are there any parks right behind a string of bars? After all, it does say "if YOU are willing

to be"....
