2002 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

Anyway, there will only be about 3 inches of snow on the 19th, but we'll have 12" by the 23rd.

THX 1138

No, that's not it at all.

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:00 PM Permalink
tim_the_hunter

theres a rumor...

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:02 PM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

That's my prediction, not a weather service thing. There will be some snow by Saturday, because we have to have some by the time of the party. But we can't have too much or people won't go. But I think we will have more snow by the time people actually start thinking about digging on the 23rd. So I'm saying some snow that weekend, but it will melt and compact a bit, and then a snow storm coming through around the 22nd-23rd with about 9 more inches. That's my guess. :)

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:06 PM Permalink
ares

guess or just wishful thinking?

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:07 PM Permalink
Med2k

Any chances the spotters might make some snow like at ski resorts and dump them in all the parks to make it harder?

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:10 PM Permalink
Med2k

just won't be as fun without snow, once we narrow the park down by the 5th,6th or 7th clue, its just a matter of someone stumbling around and finding it

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:11 PM Permalink
Med2k

And after McGovern's i have a feeling there will be plenty of people stumbling around

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:13 PM Permalink
ares

if they were to use snow makers, m2k2 (wasn't that a droid on star wars?) it'd be easy to narrow down the park. wait and see which one gets snowed in last.

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:33 PM Permalink
Frosti

Maybe it would be the one that gets snowed in first.

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:40 PM Permalink
ares

one or the other. definitely not the ones in the middle.

and there's just something about your tag line, frosti. don't know what it is, but there's something about it.

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:44 PM Permalink
Frosti

What kind of something?

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:48 PM Permalink
ares

something, um, dirty :)

Thu, 01/10/2002 - 2:50 PM Permalink
THX 1138
