Discuss the 2005 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt here.
'mom'
Go to bed?! I just got up!
I don't remember who I saw post it, but I agree: I think the cliffs/waters edge are just like the typical "stay off the golf course" clue. My inclination is that both of these things are at the park, but you need to stay away from them to find the medallion.
3m- Did you write "cooler crew" with the implement you won at the RHB?
Nope. Used my implement they showed 5 times in the movie. It is in the Jeep though. Just waiting for the right time to christen it. Also it only says "cooler". I tried to do it somewhere else and ran out of room, so tried again and ran out again and gave up on the "crew" part.
Be safe and we pledge, neither cliff nor water's edge Figures in your hunting pursuit What's that you hear? Please, have no fear It was there before we moved in
I like IM for 1st choice. They were there long before St. Paul was settled and there are cliffs to stay from and lots of train tracks along Warner Road.
And that hearing thang? "What's that you hear?" and about it being there beefore 'us'? Well, Carver's cave has (had) figuresin it and it's told that the Indians told Carver about HEARING the spirits that lived in the cave...
And pledge? What about the Boy Sprouts? There's sumpin' on that hysterical marker thighy about the Boy Sprouts, too...
Â
I *think*...
Mappy Gooey, you want a bust in the mouth? Can it about Charles Atlas!!! :D
But I am really having trouble wrapping my brain around the last line of the clue. I think that is important. Regman said that the sound you don't fear could be like a creaking door sound and that would lead me to Battle Creek. They were there before we moved in also could be a reference to the native americans. If it is at Hidden Falls or Crosby I have no idea where they would be. I don't know either of those parks well. After last night I kind of hope that the medallion is hidden in a keg of the Great Waters Winter Carnival ale because that stuff is tasty!!

morning, good noodleing goin on. i like the ideas about people here befor St. paul like fountian cave, cavers cave Ft. snelling, Victory park was at PP Press site very interesting. have no fear under dog is hear is too good not to noodle over. like the idea of bat squeaking noise being what we hear. like the idea of hearing falls at hidden falls and in fountian cave to bad you can't anymore(hear them) anymore. going to look a hidden falls now, manly cause of the nice cross country ski path along the cliffs and waters edge.

So I am still thinkin BC or Mounds
anyone going out today?
J T:
I'll second the nominations (heh) of Becksie and cocorosie. I spoke to each of them a bit at PDG, and they're cool. Is Nick in ??
Nick is already in....
Becksie and Cocorosie seemed cooler to me too
I might take my younger one out today after I get the boy on the bus for school
I may go out scoping later, they are showing the house at 3:30 today so I have to go somewhere, might as well go check out a couple parks :)
Mostly scouting.....Crosby Mounds etc. Not so much digging.
Yeah I agree unless something looks real good I thinnk
I will just look around too.
Yup, goin' north, can't deal with the cities anymore :)
It's small, only a 2 bedroom, needs some work but it's cheap, listed at $134,900
Seriously? Yhats exactly what we are looking for.
My husband works remodeling. Looking for a fixer upper. What area is it located in?
My son was the one sledding with your little boy at the rehash last yr
I'll agree with anything that means more babes.
Heh
Hillcrest area, right on the border of Maplewood and east side of st paul.

He's like the camo crue.
He don't know how to cut the lawn.

I am hung up on the word figures...because figure would have worked just fine so I wonder if it referes to skating, or perhaps some sort of numbers.
Gotta get the kids ready for school

Be safe and we pledge, neither cliff nor water's edge
Figures in your hunting pursuit
What's that you hear? Please, have no fear
It was there before we moved in
The burial grounds at Mounds were there long before St. Paul was settled and there are cliffs to stay away from.

I just love how Jake and his thugs keep saying they are picked on when they are the ones that keep coming in here with new names (med'ling kid)

I don't think I will make it to the paper any more nights, this baby gets up to early=)
They like to keep us away but my 2nd guess is IM also. Although I'm still hung up on Crosby and Hidden Falls.
sheesh, you get something wrong they yell at you, you get something right they yell at you
