I think this years hunt was one of the least enjoyable I've ever participated in. It is sad that everyone could be in the right park after the 2nd clue. A lot of the fun is deciphering the park as much as it is figuring out where in a particular park it might be. As ridiculous as the clues were a few years ago for Como, at least it had everyone scattered at various parks for nine or ten days. I can agree with the general sentiment that the clues were straightforward (no french-immersion-school-like clues). On the other hand, keep us driving around for at least a week!

Also, and I'm not sure what the best solution to this is but, it is time they figure out a way to reward those who a) go down to the PP building for the clues and/or b) dig early. I'm in a crowd that has always enjoyed the PP building waits and getting the clue the old-fashioned way. I must say, however, that next year I highly doubt I will make it out each night like I have the last couple years (yes, every night at the paper). I can sit and wait in the warmth with my hands on the keyboard with the best of them, and I can avoid some of the pushing and shoving that the waiting brought this year (for the first time that I've ever seen it). There's going to have to be some kind of incentive to get me down there next year.

There's a shed?  No one told me about the shed! I thought I made into the popular kids group when I got into the invitational.

Heading to the library.  Going to walk.  It's only about as far as the entrance to Crosby Park to the fallen giant.  Cars are over rated.

And I'm glad that the 4th annual bearhunt will be Zephy's first one home.

On my honor, I will do my best to be there!! I almost was able to remotely participate this year, through L4V... she was emailing me the clues, before we set up a LAN to our rooms... (NOW, I get the Chesty the Bears best friend' thingy!!!)

If I had to name all of the people who made this a special hunt for me, I would have tendonitis by morning...

This has been the best hunt that I have ever experienced... I had the biggest rush figuring out the clues and running around St Paul... I have been knighted twice, 3rd time real soon!! The trifecta!! I was on the hometown news, appeared on the FRONT page of Ma Press, I stopped a parade , met the Vulcans.....

But the best part was that not only did I get all of these fantastic things, I spent it with you... I was able to attend the Pre-Dig-Gig... hunted a little, it was amazing. I wish I had a dollar for every e-gram that I had, thanking me for what we are doing here. If only every soldier had this much support at home... and had people kind enough to show it...

Prior to this hunt, I knew Love4Vino from last years hunt, we kinda paired up (we had a fan base!!), I met Regman while waiting in line everyday (1st and 2nd in line everyday!!), I met one of the Clownz for a moment (hope it was you, Nick... 'sup, Juggallo...)... and that was about it. But now I feel that I have a kind of (how do I say this without sounding like a wuss...) ok, I care about alot of you, This is truly a family... One that I am proud to say I belong to.

Standing here, you can see so clear,
A soldier saluting everyone
To the parks we sneak, with Treasure to seek
We have a bond, not to be undone...

Have a great rest of the year, to those who are leaving... To those who stay, I look forward to seeing more of you throughout the rest of the year... The least that I could do for all that you have done for me.... (We'll have to have a get together when I come home on leave...)

Oh, did I mention that I love you guys???

See y'all back real soon!!

-------Zephyrus....Prince of the west wind, that hopefully blows me home soon!!

I yust found out that the persona that sits next to moi here In The Salt Mine was at Crosby, Stills Gnash & Young Sat nite!!!  She and her Sweetie, a little after 9:00 PM!!!  They met KT - cuz my co-worker wanted to pet KT's beautiful dog - and I'm guessing LLady: "a little short, longish dark hair, and has child(ren)."  Tho it could have been PayMe.

She said "KT is really nice."  And the other woman "is very down to earth.  They both made me feel very welcome."

WAY TO GO 'HEADS!!!!  We are our own best advertising!

I'm trying to talk her into coming to the Re-Hash Bash, at least to just stop by on their way to udder places Sun.  I *think* she may become a Hunter...  She cruised for us on the 'Net this year and may have done some lurking.  She was interested in us, at any rate, and did follow us on the news.

THANKS KT and LLady or PayMe!!!!!  The 'Crew snags more folk!  :D
