I have been waiting for a while to get re-validated, and I was slogging through all kinds of posts when I realized that this place isn't really free....

So I made a donation last night (last night to me is 9 hours later than you) and I came on here this morning, and it works

I was able to register an account just now, no problem.

It was supposed to be a funny reference to mrmnmikey's comment that he was on strike...

I hope I didn't make it look like you couldn't get on here for free...

But it was pretty ironic anyway...

I am glad, though that it is going faster now!! :)

I just noticed something.  Nick's last post was listed on the Recently Active Discussions to the right of the screen.  Can anyone click on that and have access to this thread, or only people that have been approved?

LL...is that surplus store still there??  I was on White Bear a couple of weeks ago and was looking for it.  We used to get some cool stuff there.  I didn't see it.  Isn't it kind of close to that mortuary?  I was looking for a liquor store too and would have stopped in, but I guess I'm not too good at checking out stores and keeping my eyes on the road.  I opt for keeping my eyes on the road.

well I got that call back from the Carnival Heritage Foundation about the parade... all applications are due by Dec 1st. There is a fee to get into the parade and the group would need to purchase insurance incase someone gets killed or hurt. You file under "novelty" ....go to the winter carnival website to see details -sorry I dont have it right here with me.

I am currently at my moms house using her computer. Mine is being worked on by a friend. Looks like Explorer is a problem AND yes, I should only have 1 virus scan in the computer NOT both Norton and McFee - so both are going for now and that spyware is being installed for now- thats all I know-I just need to get it back by Jan 22!!!!

wicked nick-

have you heard anything about tapehs injury recently and how he's doing?  dude got jacked up on monday night football a few weeks back vs the rams.  it was really a shame because the game was over and I think it was a neck injury actually.  I always liked him at Johnson and the U of M.

also, did he struggle with spanish as much as english?  I understand he was from a part of africa that spoke in an language similar to english but we some pretty major differences in rules and stuff which was the reason it took him an extra year to get academically eligible.  just interested...

Ot, It's down by that play it again sports, there's a little gas station on the corner, not too far down from maplewood mall, I can't remember what street it is though, same street that casey park is on if you know where that is. it's acroos the street from play it again sports on the side of the building.

Tim -

Havent heard much else about the injury....

He actually spoke pretty good english, having had some conversations with him and such...  the spanish was a different story... It seemed like he wasnt getting it half the time, and then he would do really good on tests, and stuff.. so who knows.

He didnt actually start playing football til about like.. junior year, I wanna say.....   pretty much, because he didnt know anything about it... he was into soccer, instead... so one of the coaches kept bugging him, about his size, and trying to get him to play football instead.... pretty funny, that for someone that didnt really know much about the sport up until a few years ago, is suddenly playing in the NFL...

Thanks LL.  There used to be one closer to town.  Just before that strip mall that I don't know the name of, but there was a bowling alley there?  We used to spend a lot more time on that side of town when my husband played softball on a team over there.

Ah, down by where Hafners used to be. Thats like a block or 2 from the liquor store.

Well, I really was looking for a liquor store, but wasn't sure you'd even know who I was if I had walked in.  I was on White Bear Avenue on a fluke.  Meant to go to Rosedale and took the wrong exit off of 52!  lol  So changed my plans and headed out to Maplewood Mall.

two things quick:

i've updated the hunt year image on www.coolercrew.com, so that it looks more professional, rather than a hodge-podge of 2000-decade items coming in, as well as created a decade page for the 2000s.

i've also added zephyrus's Maybe Next Yearpoem to the site under the music section.

in addition, i'm trying to redesign the overall site as i get time. hard to find these days, but hopefully with some vacation time during the hunt...

Is there a board to place your bet in which park it is hidden in.. At the end of last years hunt there was quite a lot of people already guessing where it would be.

My guess 1 Highland Park - at the point behind the circus school

2 a park in the NE part of the county out side of St. Paul- Matoska park in white bear lake south of the double gazebo

               3 hidden falls

4  If I keep going I will eventually get the right park.

Actually since there are so many people and so few good parks that it might be in I thought we were going to do a lottery type thing with drawing numbers out of a hat and then pick in that order.

OTS - how are you doing?  I don't think I can make the PDG, My poor wife's birthday is during the hunt each year, and she is turning the big 4 0.  So we are celebrating her Bday early and be gone the weekend of the PDG.

Any other guesses where it will be??
