::typewriter inspired rant:: For as "high tech" as our government is, I spent part of today typing out 1099s on a typewriter. W2s can be done on-line, but 1099s? nooooooo! PIMA!!! (Whew, needed to get that out!) BUT... my year end paper-work and taxes are DONE and I'm one step closer to being able to hunt!
Yes, there are more! And YES, you may get another....I almost stopped in at Gabes, but the hockey game I was at down the road ended earlier than I had expected....about 9:40, and I didn't want to be sitting there all alone :frown:. Didn't have buttons with me, anyways. But I *might* still venture over there one of these evenings.
I used an Underwood typewriter until the early '80's. I remember staying up all night typing my son's senior term paper on it. I still double space, occasionally use lower case L for 1, but I've stopped trying to move the carriage back with my left hand.
What works nicely is the money collected in donations pays for the buttons for the next year.
You know, the type the cluewriter thinks you take out to exercise.
We got rid of it after we got our electric typewriter in the late 80's... you know, like a year before we got our first IBM type computer...
