Now, if they could make such awesome structures out of ice so many years ago.....why can't they build 'em like that now? They look SO cool!

And I remember as a kid, there would be mini snow castles that would be where the final battle would take place between King Boreas and the Vulcans at the end of the torchlight parade. Those castles would be done in Kellogg Park. Even those would be cool if they did those again.

I think the one I have must be from around 1972 though, because I remember my daughter in the picture wearing her pink snow suit sitting on her father's shoulders.

Those were very cool Ian.

I remember the small ones too. It was nice to see them in the ice palace exhibit in the hotdish tent this year. I don't think I've even seen those models before. Very cool and full of memories.
