OT - So glad it's not just me. How ya been? Having a good summer?

Great summer, Terry. Spent the 4th in northern Wisconsin and am heading to Osakis on Saturday with my family and my sister's family and various spouses and kiddies. We'll have 50 people there! I thought of you last weekend when I was looking at the stars in the north woods and wishing I spent more time up there.

Nothing like getting out of the cement jungle and into a dark sky area to truly be awestruck at the night sky.

I've had that happen on PF as well. If you really want to see the whole thing, save the pic to your desktop and then open it.

I have no issues...I wonder if its cuz i've got my screen resolution set at 1024x768 pixels.

I used to work in the building in the second photo before there was a MOA. Could see beautiful sunsets when I worked late. I'm glad I left before they built the mall.

Sometimes we all wish our balls were a bit lighter and easier to handle.

Here I am taking care of a few of my plants. I don't know what I got on my face. :ooh:

This was a plant we picked up for my Grandfathers new flower box. I love the way it blends.

That's a dahlia. Very pretty.

EVERY time I watch the fireworks from the bluffs there is someone there, never fails, that says "ooooh, that one looks like a flower" or "oooohh, that one looks like a Peony" Dahlia or Chrysanthemum.

Speaking of fire... Think I'm going to try andf catch some fireflies tonight.... are they still out and about?

They are in my back yard.

The grandchildren were catching them in jars at the lake over the 4th. Thought they could make night flashlights out of them. :smile: Cute, huh?

I flew in the air trying to cross the mud pit and hit the tree. That was a new shirt I picked up on the way. Hard to tell in the pic, but I'm totally covered in mud. The shirt never came clean either.

My wifes reply after seeing the e-mail with the watermelon carvings.
