ok, its driving me crazy- now that kitch is on sabatical for a couple of days I don't know where to pose this question.
I don't think this is just in my fantasies so can someone please help.
I'm searching for a picture or just what movie this scene was in. It's where Jim Carrey makes these suction cup noises and dances/moves around like an alien.
Jack Black does this aerosmith move that I love too. But I can't seem to find the scene with Carrey.
oh no, jack black and jim carrey wern't in the same movie together I just love both of their moves thats all. I'm looking for just jim. I want to think its Ace Ventura Pet Detective - isn't there an ace ventura #2? maybe its earth girls....hmmmmm
You're probably thinking of the fight scene in Dumb and Dumber.. at least that's what your post reminded me of. It's the part where Carey has a dream sequence about fighting the chinese chef at the fancy restaraunt. Can't find any good screen caps on the web, but here's the closest I got.
I heard this the other day on the radio as I drove into the parking ramp on my way into work - I couldn't beleive it, I couldn't get through the whole song- I had to change the station and go back to it after catching my composure!!! I didn't want to walk down the street or into work with a swelled up crying face its soooo sad!!
My little girl met a new friend
Just the other day
On the playground at school
Between the tires and the swings
But she came home with tear-filled eyes
And she said to me "Daddy, Alyssa Lies"
I just brushed it off at first
Cause I didn't know how much my little girl had been hurt
Or the things she had seen
I wasn't ready when I said you can tell me
And she said
Alyssa Lies
To the classroom
Alyssa lies
Everyday at school
Alyssa lies
To the teacher
As she tries to cover every bruise
My little girl laid her head down
That night to go to sleep
As I stepped out the room I heard her say
A prayer so soft and sweet
God bless my mom and my dad
And my new friend Alyssa
I know she needs it bad
I had the worst night of sleep in years
As I tried to think of a way to calm her fears
I knew just what it was I had to do
But when we got to school on Monday I heard the news
My little girl asked me why everybody looked so sad
The lump in my throat grew bigger
With every question that she asked
Until I felt the tears run down my face
And I told her that Alyssa wouldn't be at school today
a new and upcoming country singer James Michael Carroll. It sounds like we'll be hearing this one on the radio alot soon. I'm a terrible station changer anyhow-I'll definately not be able to listen to it everytime.

Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up that morning.
I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and say, "Happy Birthday!", and possibly have a present for me.
As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone "Happy Birthday."
I thought... Well, that's marriage for you, but the kids will remember.
My kids came in to breakfast and didn't say a word. So when I left for the office, I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent.
As I walked into my office, my secretary Jane said, "Good Morning Boss, Happy Birthday!" It felt a little better that at least someone had remembered.
I worked until one o'clock and then Jane knocked on my door and said, "You know, it's such a beautiful day outside, and it's your birthday, let's go out to lunch, just you and me." I said, "Thanks Jane, that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go!"
We went to lunch. But we didn't go where we normally would go. We dined instead at a little place with a private table. We had two martinis each and I enjoyed the meal tremendously. On the way back to the office, Jan e said, "You know, it's such a beautiful day...We don't need to go back to the office, do we?"
I responded, "I guess not. What do you have in mind?" She said, "Let's go to my apartment."
After arriving at her apartme nt, Jane turned to me and said, "Boss, if you don't mind, I'm going to step into the bedroom for a moment. I'll be right back."
"Ok." I nervously replied.
She went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes, she came out carrying a huge birthday cake ... Followed by my wife, kids, and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing "Happy Birthday".
And I just sat there...
On the couch...

FYI: my hub and kids wished me a happy birthday before I even got out of bed  so I knew this wasn't gonna happen to me! :pbpt:
thought it was cool and I'd share
I love her gold shoes
Seems like it was yesterday when I saw your face
You told me how proud you were, but I walked away
If only I knew what I know today
Ooh, ooh
I would hold you in my arms
I would take the pain away
Thank you for all you've done
Forgive all your mistakes
There's nothing I wouldn't do
To hear your voice again
Sometimes I wanna call you
But I know you won't be there
Ohh I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you
Some days I feel broken inside but I won't admit
Sometimes I just wanna hide 'cause it's you I miss
And it's so hard to say goodbye
When it comes to this, oooh
Would you tell me I was wrong?
Would you help me understand?
Are you looking down upon me?
Are you proud of who I am?
There's nothing I wouldn't do
To have just one more chance
To look into your eyes
And see you looking back
Ohh I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself, ohh
If I had just one more day
I would tell you how much that I've missed you
Since you've been away
Ooh, it's dangerous
It's so out of line
To try and turn back time
I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you

Eight hours with a shovel
In the city summer sun
Aching arms and dusty boots
And a job that won't get done.
Two weeks pay spent yesterday
And a three-change bus ride home
The fading grey of a long hard day
Not a thing to call your own.
And the boy turns
And he asks his old dad
He says "Are you glad
For the kind of life you've had?"
And he says
Life is good
    Spring is in the air
You got two bucks in your pocket
    A little bit of Brylcreem
    In your hair.
    Life is good
When you're proud of what you do
    Giving your all to others
And it all comes back to you.
Some guys are handsome
They make friends all the time
They've always got a buddy
And they always feel fine.
Now others take a backseat
They watch the world go by
They're living life alone
Quietly and shy.
But when love strikes
And those fires start to burn
And those lonely years they melt away
And finally it's your turn and you say
Life is good
    Winter's blowing cold
    Love is forever
And it never will grow old.
    Life is good
When you're proud of what you do
    Giving your all to others
And it all comes back to you.
You can go on year to year
Thinking life has nothing new.
Special things go to others
You're glad for them
But then just like that
It goes and changes
Just like that you say that
Life is good
You were heading for a fall but
    You pick youself up
    You dust yourself off hey
    Didn't hurt at all.
    Life is good
When you're proud of what you do.
    Give your all to others
    Come on now try
    Listen very closely
    To every laugh and sigh
    Maybe there's a reason
    For all that we do
    Giving your all to others
It all comes back to you.
I don't think this is just in my fantasies so can someone please help.

With Jesus
Because there's nothing anyone would do

I had a wonderful rare ribeye steak and red wine for dinner - it was wonderful
I was too full
