#1 Joe, and first to suggest a cooler crew screening and maybe some drinks afterwards to discuss?
Â
[Edited by on Dec 1, 2004 at 04:12pm.]
They are all cooler crew screenings, and drinks after all of them, I say!
I like the way you think Tim, but are you 21 yet?
Ohhhhhh, you meant alchoholic drinks...
Just kidding, I knew what you meant. No I'm not 21 yet, still only 19. It's all good though. I am looking forward to seeing the thing, and how it turned out.
Everyone going to one showing would be good though, we could jump Trent if he makes us look dumb.
Haha, strength in numbers, let's just hope he doesn't have some fancy high priced New York lawyer in case we do.
Why are there two threads for the screenings?
Good call, who started it first. I just assumed to post in this one since JT started it, it seemed more 'official'. Who even started the other one?
[Edited by on Dec 1, 2004 at 05:42pm.]
I think Ian might have started that one. Even thought that other thread was first, this thread isn't as hidden. I only noticed because I got the #1 Joe on the other one and was confused when I seen your post. Either way I have both #8 posts for both threads.
SO TAKE THAT!!!

It's only one thread.
Just wanted to make sure people saw it.
I didn't notice Ian's thread.
Ian, you want me delete this one?
Weird, I haven't been on here in months and I discover this post about the movie. Yay! No Time for Cold Feet.
too bad I wasn't around more earlier when Trent was filming. Geez what am I thinkin! That's probably a good thing, now I can just go see the movie and laugh at everybody else on the big screen ;)

Delete the other one; sorry for the confusion.

heck...I hate hearing my own voice on tape...
I'd go nuts looking at myself on a big screen...I think I'm fat enough as it is.
You're not fat. Your body is just superiorally adapted to the rigors of hunting out in the cold MN climate.

noted, and saved. Thanks
OHHH....o.k.
My wife told me to go and buy a snowblower...I said that would be stupid. How could I practice.
doubled joe...
Is that what is hapening to me I thought I was just getting old=)
I asked Trent about the seating capacity at Bell Auditorium. I got a lot more info too:
Check it out !
Bell Auditorium holds 375. So 10 shows will give 3,750 people a chance to see it. If demand is high, we'll add more shows. That would be great if that's the case. The more, the merrier.
Also, here are a few more details about the release (at least how we're planning to roll it out now). Of course, the "right" distribution offer could change all of this. Please feel free to share this with the Cooler Crew.
Please remember that this is only the first baby step that the film will take. "Cold Feet" won't be playing the film festival circuit until September 2005, so it will be on the festival circuit until September 2006. At some point during the festival run we will negotiate a distribution deal, and then at some date after that, "Cold Feet" will be "officially" distributed and will once
again have a theatrical run in the Twin Cities.
As I've said before, we told the medallion hunters that they would be the first ones to see the film, so that's why we're taking this unusual step to screen the film at this time.
Indie films frequently take two or three years to hit the market, and we don't want you guys to have to wait that long. Plus, we want hunters to be able to see the film before anyone else in the U.S. or the world sees it.
We'll probably do the same for the DVD. We'll release an early limited edition run of the DVD.
Take care...
Trent

Thanks for posting IAN

ok, so then if say, I am IN the movie,
then do I show up all dressed up
and walk the red carpet
and get in for FREE?
sign autographs and pose for the cameras?
Is there a specific "Cooler Night"? ;)
Will you sign body parts?
hmmmmm-you gonna bare your chest for me to sign?
Nah. I've got this amputated leg I found.
I'll bring my green sharpie
Will you sign body parts?
Â
I wanted me2's signature. But she can sign my chest if she prefers. ;-)
and walk the red carpet

I don't see that happening for any of us since they need to recoup the cost of renting out the theater and such. I know that there was talk about it before but it would be hard to determine who pays and who doesn't because of how many cast members there actually are. I'm sure you're in it me2. I seem to remember a scene at the end of the Como hunt where you were blabbin' in front of the camera bitchin about something or another. ;-)

I posted this in the main thread by mistake
The latest from TT:
Hey CM,
Thanks for looking out for us. Yeah, I update the page on our computer, but I haven't uploaded it yet because Jackie wants to put a poster up there (of course, we haven't settled on a poster yet). So I think we're going to at least type in the dates, and hopefully by the weekend have some sort of pop-up poster, etc. on the site.
Yeah, it would be great to meet everyone before the first screening. Hopefully, Jackie's going to be in MN too, and Angus (he worked on the film the last three years) is coming from L.A.
Jackie and I are also very interested in getting everyone's opinion on what works and doesn't work in the film. Since it's digital (and not film where you have to cut a negative), we can make adjustments fairly easily. It'll be the first time that Jackie and I will see the film with an audience. As you've heard me complain before, this hunt and all of these characters, history, etc.are a pain to put into a 2-hour movie. Jackie and I are much happier with the 4-6 hours of material that the DVD allows. With the 2-hour movie so much has to be shortened and left out -- it's a drag. That said, the film should be an exciting two hours.
By the way, Jackie and I just spent five minutes discussing whether to cut out three words out of something you say in the film.
I'll let you know when we've updated the website. We're also going to get some flyers or PDFs out to everyone so they can push the film.
If you have any interesting promotional ideas or angles, please let us know. We're obviously going to do any TV, radio and print that makes itself available. It would be great to get some "penetration" into the U crowd, but it's not obvious to us how to do that outside of the MN Daily.
Take care...

Mine as well give you some practice:
"Oh! Oh! Me2, who are you wearing?!"
"You were seen with Brad Pitt last week, what's the story?"
"Me2! Over here! Any thoughts of a sequel?"
Â
But we really should pick a cooler night that we can all go and enjoy it together and talk about it after, I'm really excited to see how it turned out.

I'm really excited to see how it turned out
I'm scared
Well I know for sure that I want to go to the first showing because I can't wait to see it, but I'll probably go more than once. Having a bunch of cooler crew members there would be way cooler.
Yeah, we gotta have a plan!

I kinda like the ' lets get drunk and screw' approach myself. But I'm open to other ideas as well.

Hahaha, that line next to your avatar is priceless.
And yeah, I would also be up for going to that first screening too.
Hahaha, that line next to your avatar is priceless
Thanks but it happened by accident.
I thought the Paris avatar was a funny tribute to one of the most hilarious episodes of South Park that I've seen in ages (thanks for the edited pix K) and picked a Stephen Wright line that always cracks me up. Once I updated my preferences, it was like seeing those old Reeses' commercials.
Here's the full shot.

Hi 3M and everyone else. John and I would love to go to the screening with the whole Crew.
