thats what I already do- its the extra steps Im trying to avoid- thanks
my computer is pretty new. At work I have an older system and somehow I can right click and save as jpg... at home I can't :frown: ... its only art or bmp options
I have Windows XP and AOL. On the internet, I put the cursor on an image and right click. In the pop-up I click Save Picture as. If the window that appears offers only two choices, art and bmp, I know the saved image is doomed. The bmp image cannot be opened by Paint because Paint says it is a jpg file. The art image cannot be opened by anything I have tried within XP. This seems to happen to jpg files.
The on line problem solution Q260650 is only partially helpful. Workaround 1, deleting Temporary Internet Files, works for a short time. Then 2 or 3 saved files later, the same problem appears. Workaround 2 is not applicable.
Log on as an identity with administrator privileges and delete the IE
cache. The folder is probably corrupt. Also increase the size of the cache
I changed mine in my folder a long time ago, but I don't display that part so it did no good. Could have fun with it though. Most people wouldn't even notice it.

just in case it simply isn't big enough.
