Hey all.. I've been away kinda resting and taking it easy for a while. I can't remember if I broke this news or not, but once again, I'm pregnant. I'll be going for the offical due date ultra sound on Dec 16th, so I'm really excited. This past weekend was really hard for me because Dec 4th would've been baby Charles' due date, and I just needed to take some time and remember him. Also, my birthday is on Sunday... yeah yeah.. the big fat 2-7, lol yeah not looking forward 2 inching towards the 3-0 mark, but what can ya do? I know as of now we're tentitively planning to maybe get together at Oakies in Oakdale on Century Ave right next 2 Beer Bellys for some karoakee and what not, the invite is open to anyone who'd like to come and celebrate with me  I hope U all have warm and happy holidays! Peace and God bless!

my brother worked at oakies when they opened. Think he lasted all of 2 weeks there...seems he couldn't communicate with the mexicans too well, and since the mexicans worked cheaper.... well you know the rest.

Question for the group/moderators:

With the pay deadline looming, I assume that most of the cooler regulars will pay up - also, I know that non-payers can't post, but can they read? If so, what's the thought to avoid cooler ideas stolen by lurkers?
Thu, 12/08/2005 - 6:47 PM Permalink
mrmnmikey

And are all the folders paid for?
Thu, 12/08/2005 - 6:54 PM Permalink
Clue Master

Non-payers can't see or post in here after 1/1. They can see the Welcome Home thread which tells them how to get in here.

Logout and you'll see what I mean.

I see us with over $230 for folder dues if needed. That's in addition to our posting fees.

I'm not sure how they're gonna figure out what goes where other than folder hosts.

Mark? TimV?

You could delete all sorts of folders I'm sure. A lot of them are just nonsense.

And is Mark charging for each and every folder, or just the high level folder?

If that's the case. Get rid of the folders and just keep all the threads. Or cut down on the folders.

Or have people sponsor a folder.....

I'll sponser the minor league hunt folder...

and I could make that into just one easy (if need be)

also

• Roger Barr, a noted St. Paul storyteller, will read one of his original Christmas stories at 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Hillcrest Recreation Center, 1974 Ford Pkwy. Bring a food-shelf item as admission. Barr wrote a novel, "The Treasure Hunt," about the Winter Carnival medallion hunt and each year writes a holiday-themed story for the Villager newspaper.

Not sure where they're going with the pricing. If it's for each folder, we have $160 in folders just here.

You're right in that there are a number of discussions that could be combined but not sure if we'll need to do that or not. I don't think they're going to charge for each discussion. I hope not anyway.
