From the moment I walked in the room I had a swarm of people on me ..buying me drinks, hugs, hand people wanting to take there picture with me, and even had to sign autographs....
cracked me up...
???what with the chicken??? I missed something....
I've never owned a city park before, so I stopped at St. Paul Store and bought a hunk of Como for $1. I have the property deed to prove it.
I now own a square inch of Como Park, "together with all the hereditaments and appurtenances belonging thereto, subject to the following exceptions, etc., etc., etc."
The deed is signed by hizzoner, Norm Coleman, and looks official enough until you get to the bottom of the document and read the disclaimer in small print that this is just a promotion and not a valid instrument.
Rats. I'd planned to go back next payday, double my investment and start an empire.
"We were advised to put that disclaimer on," says store manager Craig Thompson, "to avoid any possible legal problems."
So far, City Store has sold almost 100 deeds to square inches of Como, Phalen, Cherokee, Highland, Mounds and other major parks. At this rate, the store could sell almost a square foot of park in its first year of operation.
I've been a big fan of City Store since it opened in Norwest Crossing last August as an outlet for old manhole covers, stop signs, fire hydrants and other useful public works effluvia.
from an article of boxmeyer's...is this store still open....is this store still selling the deeds???
talk about fun...heh..I own this spot...Its mine...I got dibs!!!
I got one of those deed things for Phalen, and one for Harriet, like 10 years ago, from a store that used to be in the skyway, in DT Saint Paul, near where Wells Fargo used to be....
I'll probably be down... but not til closer to clue time....
after spending too much money last night, I'm now almost too poor to even pay attention.... so hanging out for a super-long time, where I'll be tempted to go broke, isnt a good idea.
So should I just stay put here?? Shows how motivated I am for this hunt. The 'Crew has been so helpful to get me here! This has to be the year for the 'Crew to get that Med.
well, I mean in this folder. The old, by-gone days you didn't go folder to folder to find crew members. You know what I mean? There are alot of folders with discussions in them on this able.mind. Not sure what to do.
Wait a minute! You just want a Dioryche ticket! I know your kind.
