heh, rub it in why don't ya?

Forgot about the photo contest, or I woulda entered my hobbit-hole photo (Submissions were supposed to be placed by the 3rd, which was tuesday).

Heard some interesting internet rumors about MGM looking to finally get "The Hobbit" made into a movie, they've been working out the contracts and legal mumbo jumbo. Would be cool to see that done.

We went there but there was no place to park and the kid was itchy from the burrs down in the valley and wanted to go change her shirt. Plus the wife was bellowing. We did drive right through the crowd and was able to see the train on the way out..

whitney was complaining this morning about how she shouldn't have to go to school-

we used to get Columbus Day off -- not any more!

I tried to explain how the 'new' theory is that he didn't really find America first and there's talk that he wasn't a very nice man --- she didn't care she wanted the day off

hmmmmm, actually this day should be dropped from the holiday calendar

All my co-workers are whining about how cold it is... Comeon, it's Minnesota, what do ya expect happens in the winter? Global warming? hah!

You can't have an Indian Summer if you don't get your first freeze first. I liked seeing the snow this morning. I even was hit with a few flakes when out on my roof a few minutes ago. There was a definite chill in the air that I haven't felt in a while but it wasn't a bad thing in my opinion.

last year it was pretty much 75 every day up until Thanksgiving here. That's a little warm, cause when it cooled off, it did quick and we got dumped on with rain.

I want seasons. I want summer to be hot, fall to be brisk but sunny, winter to be cold, and spring to be cool but with the radiance of sun that it should have.

The last couple years here, it seems like everything is jumbled up. :worried:

sunny but crisp.. sure. snow? don't think so.

I suppose I'm just picky... I also don't want rain to knock down what little colored leaves we might get. It suxs here right now. everything is brown. plain ol brown. The hills, the trees. brown brown brown.

The good(?) news is, that I'm not freezing in shorts in the mornings when I'm chasing the trucks I suppose.

The bursts of snow this afternoon really put you in a winter spirit even if it was short lived. I was in our main lobby at work when one of the bursts came through. What a great place to view a storm from with all the glass looking out onto downtown. I'll definitely need to take some shots from there this winter.

Is anyone else going to Arnolds Park pre-party premier tonight? It's that Peoples Movie deal last year. It's by invite only. I know a few of you signed up last year for it. I'm taking Sarah after her last volleyball game of the year tonight. Then Saturday are tournaments.

meh, I got disinterested in it after I signed up to see if there was any way I'd make a dime on it. Heh, once again though ya don't get something for nothing.

and the opportunity to meet some potential future famous people.

during the making of the movie they would say where they were filming and invite people out to watch. I remember one time they invited people out for the White Bear Lake scenes-
