Just to let you know, I'm off tomorrow for a weeks vacation with my family and various hangers-on. There will be 52 of us. :eek: Three generations and I'm the only one representing my generation. :neutral: But it's fun and I'm really looking forward to it. It's been a yearly thing since my kids were little. In all those years we've only been kicked out of two resorts. :grin: This guy likes us. Possibly because we rent out the whole resort and can't irritate others. :sillygrin:

That's funny because its true. My favorite pj's are a pair my daughter bought from VS. Not your typical VS pj's at all. Cotton flowered bottoms and a tank top. They've been washed so many times they're soft as butter.

Thanks CM. I do look forward to this week every year. But the week goes so fast! :chagrin: I remember the time when families went on two week vacations. After two weeks you were almost ready to get home to your own bed. Now I start counting down the days around Monday. I need to stop that.

Cards - no buy in but first come first in. Registration starts at 6:00 only 47 seats available... had 37-40 both Weds and Thurs.

If you don't make the cut tonight - they start the list for Saturday night.

Phat Pearl starts at 7:30

Fireworks at 10:00

your fairs still have bingo? and they have poker? how is that?

The coolest thing we have at the fair is horseracing, and that's only at the larger county fairs.

KAT - (or anyone who may know) how late is the fair today?

I wanted to ride some rides and take the girls -but Id rather take them when the rides are all lit up at night.

It was great seeing everyone out at the fair on Friday :smile: Kaitlynn had a blast!! This was her first fair, but I REALLY can't wait to take her to the State Fair. We'll have to have a Cooler reunion there too!! :smile: Take it easy everyone :smile:

Things are looking good...

last 3 years we had been in the red for the fair. last two years our commission from the Miway was down about $30,000 (because of the heatwaves)... Last night we got our commission and we went back up to normal - so now it's crossing fingers on the parking, vendors and beer sales!!
