I have 5 kids, and I seem to always text them or leave messages on their Facebook pages. Twitter is a Facebook wannabe.
   So I was saying those old cell phones you actually called people. My son posts messages and photos on his Facebook page from his iPhone, that is how advanced cell phones are compared to the first cell phone in my photo on my post.
   I also IM my kids on Facebook. We don't talk all that much, but we keep in touch everyday through non-speaking technology.
Plus, when I first started the Hunt we ran to the PP at midnight then had to run back home to post the clue. Now, a Crew member can get to the PP and iPhone or type in the clue from their car or from the PP lobby. Much faster and great improvment for the Hunt!
    I always get a kick when the Hunt is in the end, and all these hunter's cell phones go off around 11 pm. So funny! The park lights up from the cell phones and you hear all this ringing!
This was the first cell phone I seen used in the general public. A guy was using it on a golf course in Mendota Heights back in 1988. This one sold for $2000 used back then. His had a way longer antenna though.
I just watched a video I got from somewhere of the lines and cars in Feb of 2003 during the HiddenFalls hunt. I was just amazed to watch it on video as I am to see it in person. It just reminds me how intense the hunt gets.
I dont think he's ever given us the chance to get to know him...
He's just some dumbass, whos been over at the PP boards, the last few years...
he does nothing but talk alotta trash in his 1950's greaser lingo, hate on the Cooler Crew (or whatever his name for us is, that day), claim a buncha b.s., and continually challenge us to "step up to his face and do something".....
That is one way cool Cell phone. And what I would give for a 1969 Dodge Charger now! I did have a '69 corvette 2 door convertible; wish like heck I still had it.
So, Wicked Nick: Why do people over at the PP boards tell me to avoid you at the Pre Bash and in general, say you are "dangerous"; I asked why they say this, but they haven't answered me yet. Is this just trash talk?

Has anyone discussed moving / removing folders inside here?
I dunno if TC & Areas want to keep 'Flowers for Sue...' on the top page anymore, or of you want the "Look and Feel Test Folder" hidden inside the Code of Conduct or some thing like that. I dunno how complicated a folder move can be, I'm just thinking streamlining the site for when the hunt gets crazy.
At 3:30 pm this afternoon I receive a call from the Parent Company of Matty B's... as of yesterday they SHUT THEIR DOORS!!!!
It is now 3:45 and I have already made several Phone Calls to other bars (including McGoverns) in the area... it looks as though WILD TYMES may be able to accommodate us... I am calling back at 6:00 to talk with the manager... the only hang up will be that there is a WILD Game that night so we may need to move our start time to 8pm...
I will post again tonight what I finalize...
(I do feel sorry for the young girl that called from HDQRTS as I was not very pleasant when she told me the news)....
um... we would have to drive but a good chance for OBBS to have us.

they have a band on Saturday, and might be kinda crowded.... also dont really have a "party room", persay....
