Today, 33 years ago, we brought our baby girl home. Hard to believe so much time has passed since we first met that tiny baby with a pink bow in her hair. Nice memories for sure.
I'm wondering if any of you can help me with something... it involves Old MN knowledge.. and perhaps it can be a little "pre-noodle warm up" for ya'll.
I've recently found some stock certificates belonging to my mom from when she was in MN - several are issued from MN, however I can't find anything on the businesses today:
Diginamics Corporation
Biotronics, Inc.
Staco, Inc.
and then another one - out of Illinois for:
Hydrometals, Inc.
Any info would be helpful. She liked to buy stock for companies she worked for, so I'm guessing at some point in time, they all resided in St. Paul?
Just peeked in here for the first time in ages, and I have to say I've been in the same predicament here, although right now I can't remember the names of the businesses that were on the stocks I'd run across.
It wasn't exactly the "top" of the priority list, but I have them set aside - and will someday need to deal with them. Actually now that I'm processing all of this as I'm typing, I'm thinking that maybe some of them might actually be in the names of my *grandparents*. Even if the companies ARE still around, not sure that the paper will be worth anything if the correct transfers haven't' been done.
If you can prove linage (sp?) they are still valid.
Different, but sorta same topic.. I actually found some bonds that were my grandfathers in trust for my mother from 1942. I have his death certificate.her birth certificate, my birth certificate, and her will. Guess who has bonds worth 4x's their original value? ME.
ok.. I know it says it's 12 degrees there... well, it's 19 degrees here, and we are expecting a rain storm tonight - which means it could actually snow instead. Somehow, cold just isn't very much fun, unless there is a reason to be out in it.
..true, i pirated the logo to make stickers.. props to Big G, ESD, or whomever allowed me the audacity to use the design to perpetuate the crew! Thanks!
if you don't mind, although cco tends to keep their videos available longer than the pp does unless you've got a direct link to the brightcove site for the video.
Just sneaking in to take a peek. I can't believe how quiet the boards are for hunt time this weekend..I have 5 days left of my subscription....decisions decisions.....
.. i live two blocks from irvine park and can say i haven't found anything during my two walks through the park this week.. pirate coins or otherwise :pbpt:

do you have any ticker symbols for those stocks?
The search feature on this board works pretty well. I searched for "pewter" and it was easy from there.
