King Boreas aka Ian

I was at Fridley AX-MAN yesterday for a few minutes to pick up a few Devil Duckies, and mostof the employees there might live 'alternative' lifestyles. That's cool. Anyway, there was some kind of techno-pop or something on in the store, not loud, just playin'. Kinda catchy.

Today I went back to get 39 more Duckies (don't ask), and they were playin' Bob and the Wailers ! I couldn't leave ! An hour and a half looking at gizmos I have no idea what they were. The shrunken heads were kinda cool. Listenin' to Bob, groovin', they have parts to make water pipes, wandering around, then checking out with 39 Duckies, 100 ziplock bags, a TONKA noisemaker, and I don't know what else. Fun afternoon, but that pipe wasn't gettin' used.

Damn !

Hello!

Seems all I've had time to do lately is slog quick through here.

Seems we have a new hunt about to begin. Cooler! TMK got back safe and sound. Way cooler!

Hope Ares is feeling better.

Tomorrow is Finally Friday. This has been one of the longest weeks in history. Barring anything unforeseen, we're heading north tomorrow night. I sure could use the get-away.

Heading for the sheets here shortly. Goodnight, SCDs and MCL!

WoW- did you read up on another club fire - this one killed 60+ people!
A GREAT WHITE concert-I remember them from the 80's-they only drew in under 300 people that night.
That is 3 club fires in a week! The people in Mpls were damn lucky!

one of his band members, guitarist Ty Longley, was among the missing.:(

Great White is a heavy metal band whose hits include ''Once Bitten, Twice Shy'' and ''Rock Me.'' The band emerged in the Los Angeles metal scene of the late 1980s, selling 6 million albums and earning a Grammy nomination in 1990.

The worst nightclub fire in the United States was Nov. 28, 1942,
when 491 people died at Boston's Cocoanut Grove nightclub.

2 days after my dad was born.

Marley? can you post somewhere or tell me where I can see the photo of the CAPITOL at the POOL at COMO SUCKS?

I did swing by the park yesterday to see if enough snow melted to find my phone but no such luck yet- and I looked for the Capitol but didn't see it-I am pretty sure that if I had heard or knew that was there I would have stayed on that side of the road more. :(

OK-NOW that I have read this story IF you come over to my home-I have given up! My home is a DUST collector!

This story reminds me of Terry V :)

Subject: DUSTING

A house becomes a home when you can write
"I love you" on the furniture.

I can't tell you how many countless hours that I have spent CLEANING! I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were
just perfect "in case someone came over". Then I realized one day that no one came over; they were all out living life and having fun!

Now, when people visit, I find no need to explain the "condition" of
my home. They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun. If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice.

Life is short. Enjoy it!

Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better, to paint a picture or
write a letter, bake a cake or plant a seed, ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time, with rivers to swim and
mountains to climb, music to hear and books to read, friends to
cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world's out there with the sun in your
eyes, the wind in your hair, a flutter of snow, a shower of rain. This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not
kind. And when you go - and go you must - you, yourself, will make more dust!

don't give up, j! eventually your dust generatorliving room will be finished and then you won't have to worry about so much dust in the rest of the house :)

Now that sounds like my life. Though when you have dirty dishes that are a month old, you may be going a little too far in the other direction. Sunday March 2nd is the next time I'm going to be home in the evening. At least I haven't made any plans for that night yet (since I'll be coming home from Two Harbors that day). Monday the 17th was the last time I was home. But I am having fun.

So why does dust collecting remind anyone of me?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It thought I was hiding that collection fairly well.

ESD - If you're soon turning 40 and feel old, wait for another 10 years to go by - and it'll happen before ya know it. The real kicker that half of what's on that list of "how old you were when" are things my kids learned about in history and thought it was so odd that their parents had been alive back in those olden days.

Age is really just a matter of mind...whether you have any left or not. :-)

Those Maxine things are just too cute....and the Chinese food thing had me rofl!

Peace in Middle Earth in our time

Minas Tirith (Gondor News Network) - Thousands of peace activists took to the streets of Minas Tirith and other cities of Middle Earth today to protest what they termed a rush to war with Mordor.
“We need more time for diplomacy,” said a key member of the Middle - Earth Security Council, Saruman the White.”I am not convinced by the evidence presented by my esteemed colleague, Gandalf the Grey, or that the Dark Lord Sauron presents an imminent danger to the
peoples of the West.”
Many of the people protesting war in Mordor agreed with Saruman’s remarks. “Sauron says he’s destroyed his Rings of Mass Destruction(RMD) and that’s good enough for me,” said one fellow carrying a sign that “Elrond is a Balrog.”Another demonstrator urged, “Give the
RMD inspectors more time. There’s no reason to rush to any judgment just because Mount Doom is belching lava, the Dark Tower is rebuilt, and Osgiliath has been decimated.” A third protester piped up, “I haven’t heard a single bit of convincing evidence connecting the Nazgul with Sauron. I think they destroyed Osgiliath on their own initiative without any support from Sauron. Besides, it’s understandable they’re angry with Gondor. We haven’t done nearly as much for the Orcs and Goblins and Easterlings as the Nazgul and Sauron have. It’s understandabale they throw their support to them. It’s our own fault really.”
As the protesters continued their march through the city, they chanted, “No blood for Mount Doom,” voicing a common sentiment that the leaders of the Western peoples are really seeking to get their hands on the powerful Mount Doom, where the One Ring of Power was
allegedly forged.
Gandalf the Grey was unavailable for comment. A spokesman said he was in an undisclosed underground location, which sources have revealed is codenamed: Moria.
