ooo free event. I might be interested in going, always interesting to hear about the history of the area.
BTW, has anyone heard any more mention of that sand castle they're supposed to be building at the ice palace site, I thought it was supposed to be in June, and here we are.
has anyone heard any more mention of that sand castle they're supposed to be building at the ice palace site
LOOKING AT IT RIGHT NOW ;p
It is up and located in Landmark park -it looks cool! it has tents over it to protect from rain. You have to stand at a distnace to see it. Heresay is the tents will come down for good weather. Dont know how long the sand castles will be up.
I have a little good news. We got an offer on our house! It's contingent upon an inspection (scheduled for Friday), but unless they find something majorly wrong we should be good. We already had one inspection, required due to the city regulations here so I don't think anything new should come up. Yay!

I had an big issue with it....the guy told me he wanted part of my roof redun...$1k ...but he didn't have an issue with the chimmeny...
that was a bid for $2k... glad he wanted me to fix the roof vs. the chimmney.
The brewery is now open and our first (test) batches will be ready for bottling round about next Friday. Our first customers batches will be ready the following Monday. Our first two weeks are gonna be pretty busy as a lot of our reservations have been filled, however we still have spots available. Also we will be holding our Brews Cruise on August 19th (My 30th B-day!) this year, for information or reservations for this fun event (not to mention that you can help me celebrate my turning the big 3-0) visit www.vinepark.com or call us.
As for me, my buddy and I will be making a pilgrimage down to Chi-town this weekend to see Rush in concert!
I thought they were putting it at the Ice Palace site
well the day the ice palace came down both Terry Knapp and I were there -that was the day that Karl Karlson came up to us for an interview not knowing who we were DOH! any how the mayor (idiot Kelly) was breaking ground for the sand castle and promoting it, I coulda sworn he talked about the sand castle being where the ice palace was gonna be as well but this woman with the promotions department of the Ordway??? or city??? not sure, gave us a folder with information on the sand castle being built at Landmark Park. They were only giving these out to the press so I pretended to be representing Trents production company with the ice palace so she gave me a packet...she acted like they were 'gold' so of course I had to have one....they were pretty dumb, a broshure on festivities for kids, a map of the park and sandcastle.
Back from Vegas, and wow. Hot doesn't even begin to describe that weather.
Me2 - I went to the m&m store there and took a picture of one of the posters for the green m&m, as soon as I can figure out where to host pictures, I'll put it up here, it's too funny.
Everything.... atleast, thats what it seems like...
I had a kick ass weekend....man.. every year, River Fest/X-Fest/Edgefest/whatever else you wanna call it, is the best weekend of the year, or pretty close to it... its like... nothin but hangin with friends, and listening to some kick ass music, and, yes....drinkin too, ofcourse.... its like an escape from problems for a while... honestly... the first year we went, back in 99, I rank up there as 3 of the best days of my life...
BUT....then its over with and you gotta come home, and come back to reality... where a buncha people are pissed at you, for reasons beyond your control, and things you've been tryna fix for a long ass time.... it seems like all the problems build up and get alot worse, when your gone, just so they can explode in your face like, "LOOK WHAT YOU MISSED, BITCH!", the minute you come home.
Whitneys teacher founds a qoute from Mark in the newspaper yesterday-we didnt even know he was gonna be in the paper. He has been so busy that he forgot he was asked a couple of questions by the PP the other day.
You'll be fine VJ. We all went through it and still do from time to time. Funny thing is that you'll look back on your life as it is now as being perfect. People tend to black out the BS in time. Age helps you accept the BS much more easier. You'll see. The important shit will rise to the top eventually and you'll see what's worth getting upset about and what's just plain bullshit that's trying to get you down for no real reason. Enjoy another beer my friend and fuck the world for a few days. You hatch yourself a new man.
I dont know what section but I think it was day before yesterday- small article on planting and weather. other greenhouse people were mentioned from other companies as well- he gets in the paper about 2-3 times a year.
TENTS ARE OFF OF THE SAND CASTLES DOWN HERE AND THEY HAVE ADDED A BUTTERFLY TENT IN THE PARK!
Ok I get to school this after noon and my boss in the production lab informs me that we in the production lab are not allowed to talk politics or make humorous political posters any longer as it offends teachers who are democrats. But I can be forced to sit in a web design class for instance and have to listen to my teacher tell the class how Bush is a war criminal. What is wrong with this picture.
If anybody's looking for a nice B&B, we went herelast night, and it was great! We stayed in the St Croix Room. I would recommend this place to anybody. It was my wife's birthday present to me. Very romantic.
<wink wink>
Flea Market? where?
Look at the bottom of the post's
This

Is for me.
What up Ya'll?

Twisted Sister kicked ass..
It happened again... I saw a band that I wasnt into, and didnt really care about, and now they rock.
