Ian - Earth Day is April 22nd. Friday is the 22nd. I believe there's been a couple of typos in that post here. :-)
And for other stuff that relates to Earth Day...
Some of you know our family grew out of adoption. Our oldest child is from Korea. He was born on April 1st, 1977. We received his picture and information (also known as his referral) on the 7th Earth Day, Friday, April 22, 1977.
I find it interesting that he has taken on as a career the work of being a tree hugger type.
Now back to our regularly scheduled business of shooting the breeze. :-)
mucluck said I should drop by here and talk up our little return to the scene of the crime, the winter of peace and love, the long days and nights at Crosby. So I'm here to remind/inform everyone about the 4/22 return to Crosby Farm Park:
You can join us for 5 hours of "trash removal" and/or 5 hours of peace, love and a bonfire and nothing but peace, love and a bonfire (well maybe some music and food.)
Oh yeah, beverages, smoke'em if ya got 'em, geocaching ...
Anyone that would have met Brian would have been out hunting with us back a few years ago when he was still around town here. He's been 2 years in Guatemala and three years previous to that in Michigan getting his Masters. Unlike Brenda who refuses to hunt since the ear thingies incident, Brian has always enjoyed it when he could be here.
Ares - you've been to our place here - up in the woods. We have several pictures of him around here. Observant, aren't you? Hehehehehe
Speaking of being in the land of ahhhhhs....I'm happy to report since last weekend, the ice is out on Sturgeon Lake. One of these years, we'll be lucky enough to be here on the day it goes and can watch it.
We drove into clouds. Guess it's supposed to rain some this evening. Inks is going to make some chicken on the grill for dinner. I'm sure looking forward to that!
crap-o-mundo! I cannot join you at Crosby. I have to do my annual date w/ my pinchy sister at the Mn Orchestra that evening. I'll tell you what- I'd rather be de-trashing a park with you fine people that with my sister and her high faluting attitude.
Glad it went well for you CM. We love ya man! No really we do! We mean it man!
As do I - Even when I'm not on my meds. ;-)
that's ok though. i'll fart for the both of us.
That's a pretty tall order, you think you're up to it? It might get a bit messy.
Thanks again for the constant support and wise cracks from each of you.  The perfect balance for what a whimpy guy like me needs for a thing like this.Â
Nice pix Terry - Thanks for sharing. You must be proud.
heck...I didnt know you had a dghtr...
That makes two of us. THX & Scribe should bring her to some of the events. I'm sure we'll only scare her a little.
You're all great hunters with very different approaches and very different personalities. I'm sure there would be some friction which would make for great tv. Plus, it never hurts to put a hottie on the team. ;-)

Now theres some exitement! Watching ice melt. Almost as much fun as counting up 600 posts to get a joe. ; )
I like your dream team pick Frosti-That would be humorous to watch those 3 getting along/or not.
Suuurrreeee..... Â Make it all about you CM. GOL! A guy has a main vein penetrated to appease the medical society, and the dude takes over the world. If you are not at Crosby the Friday next- Picking up trash-... I will consider your redemption null and void, and hate you anew. ...Put THAT in a cookie and smoke it. ...On the lighter side, I'm glad you are not medically wacko, it's all in your head.
k...I'm really starting to think about trying out for that show...
I'm figuring that if we did get a team to try out...we could sneak to internet cafes around the world and then egram or post here for some research help....(stop back online in hour and have an right answer for the next stage)
Kitch if you do -or anyone else for that matter than count me in if you want. Just let me know that I was signed up before they show up at my door -
K...but I'm sure you'd know since we'd have to go to chicago for tryouts....or we could send in a video tape....but I got a felling a road trip to chicago would be more fun.
Neighborhood residents wary of Bloomington developer's plan, finances
BY ROBERT INGRASSIA and TIM NELSON

An upstart builder from Bloomington has struck a deal to buy the former Schmidt Brewery in St. Paul, edging out a prominent developer who's been trying to acquire the historic complex with support from the city and a community group.
T.J. Hammerstrom of SpringPointe Development said Friday he has an agreement with brewery owner Gopher State Ethanol to purchase the 15-acre site on West Seventh Street. He said he is planning a mix of condominiums and stores.
"I don't have a formal plan," Hammerstrom said. "But I assure you, it will be amazing.".....
So I had no idea that you were having a serious test today yesterday when I was giving you crap in the other thread CM, sorry about that.
Glad you are gonna be ok!
Nurses and IV drugs, what a great combination.
I'll be there...
noon-4pm...and back again at 8pm
I heard 3 pitchers!

I'd sign up for it...
If I get picked, i'd have to bring the face-paint back from retirement, just for the length of the show.

"But I assure you, it will be amazing.".....
Amazing at how you don't need drugs to see the walls move when you go underneath the brewery into the cave. Its Roachtown
Can you imagine waking up every morning to the old fermenting smell of the brewery?
I'm glad I don't live nearby...
all the mice, rats, and roaches for that matter will move....
anybody have any ideas on where I might be albe to buy "beef brisket" at like $2.50 lb....
its frustrating to buy it here in minnesota because in KansasCity and Deep south I find it a about $1.75 a lb.
is one of the best deals I know of at times...but beware...I've had bad meat from here 2.
