You probably don't care but I'm gonna tell it anyway.
I worked construction for a bit and I was framing up walls. We'd lay the boards out on the ground, nail em, then raise em and nail em together. Well, you have to have the boards flush when you nail em so you move the studs around with your free hand while you nail them with the nail gun with the other. Well, one time I hit the gun a bit too high on the board, the nail missed the board and went shooting out right into my hand holding the stud. It didn't go in far but man did that hurt like hell.
And that is the closest I've ever come to being crucified.

Between crazy happenings in my personal life and nuttier things at work, I've decided that fewer and fewer people understand the concept of customer service. I've pointed out lack of said customer service six separate times this week.
I've either been incredibly lucky that way or no one cares enough about their businesses to provide reasonable service to their customers.

Marley - That's cooler! Sounds a bit like the Charlie Brown/Snoopy/Lucy things that get painted and decorated in themes. We could decorate ours in Winter Carnival buttons, Cooler Crew buttons and bumper stickers, shovels, headlamps...the whole works! Wish I knew where to come up with $3500.

What a great weekend! Friday we spent a spontaneous day at the fair, Saturday we went to see the Cirque Du Soleil production of "Alegria" with some of my family (and once again I'm ready to run away and join the circus:-) and then out to eat , Sunday relaxed, and spent Monday buying and succsessfully installing a new CDRW and Hard drive, updating our OS, and reinstalling the rest of our computer. The only thing I'm missing are Microsoft Word and Money (couldn't find them on my reboot disk) :-( But I will find them! ;-) And sometime this week (possibly Tues) I get my new (used) van! Thinking about bringing it down to Harmony Park/Harvest Fest next weekend to "break it in"!

hmm. spent thursday at valleyfair. wanted to kill my sister for getting me on the red droppy power tower and the pirate ship twice. lucky for her and her friend i went on an empty stomach. friday i got my mustang back without any rock chips in the hood. and it has backup lites again. then as we heard the other day the battery in my mystique decided it wanted to stop working. spent saturday working with my brother on the roof of his garage. ironically i'm getting a bit more comfortable on the slopes of the roof. must just be because its a shallow slope. sunday we got the doors all put in place and a couple of the top plates in the walls "tuckpointed", becasue nate was a dumbass and didn't read how close the splices could be to each other and we didn't want the inspector to complain when he came through. and on monday i managed to score a 161 on the 16 holes of phalen that i have scores written down for. oh yeah. it was a nice weekend.

We spent part of the weekend with some friends, part of the weekend cleaning closets, and part of the weekend vegging out. In between we did some laundry and some shopping.
The friend part was super. The cleaning out closets felt so good when it was done. The vegging out part felt well-deserved and relaxing.
I had to laugh this morning. We have a bus stop about 3 houses away. The Moms, Dads, and a child care provider were all waiting with their charges for the buses to arrive, board and take those kids to school. You could almost hear the collective sigh of relief as the buses pulled away from the curb - adults and kids waving at each other.
I thought Labor Day meant work. I worked 10 hours Sunday, but played at the track all day Saturday and Monday.
Damn.. atleast ya'll had some productive, nice weekends... lemme tell ya'll bout what went down with the clowns..
Me n Shaggs were gettin straight drunk, and ran out of pop to mix in with our shit, so we got to headin out to go hitup a 24 hour gas station, for some Swisher Sweets and rootbeer and Slim Jims and whatnot... this was a lil after 3, yesterday morning... So, we're headin out of the yard, naturally.. we're sportin ICP shirts... well, these faggot ass haters came walkin outta some yard a few houses away, where some party had been going down earlier... so these bitch asses were all hoopin and hollering at us, about our gear, and were talkin all loud about how they were gonna beat our asses and leave us dead in pools of makeup and shit... so we stood there, ready for a rumble n shit... I had a pocket switchblade on me, and shaggs had his brass knucks, ready to go, so these 4 cockwiffers start, steady crossin the street, and we noticed one of em had one of them big ass, quart beer bottles in his hand.... and he smashed that shit on the ground, like he was gonna use a busted bottle on our asses... but what happened, was he busted it up, and cut his hand up all bad too, and started bleeding, and then he started screamin "AHHH!!!! MY FUCKIN HAND!! AHH!! OWWWWYY!!" like a lil bitch boy... and all the other dudes all started going "Oh shit!! SHUT UP!! SOMEONE'S GONNA CALL THE COPS!!" and they all hopped in a car and were gone, faster than a 3 layer cake at a fat kid convention..
Hahaha.. what a bunch of asswipes.... hey.. if any of you ninjas know who that punk ass was, that got his hand all jacked.. tell him we're lookin for his ass! And that his friends need some scars to match his.

Subject: Bear Alert
The Minnesota DNR Wildlife is advising hikers, hunters, fishers, and golfers to take extra precautions and keep alert for bears while in the Brainerd, Park Rapids, and Bemidji areas. (Same advice for Crookston, MN area!)
They advise people to wear noise-producing devices such as little bells on their clothing to alert but not startle the bears unexpectedly. They also advise the carrying of pepper spray in case of an encounter with a bear.
It is also a good idea to watch for fresh signs of bear activity. People should recognize the difference between black bear and grizzly bear droppings. Black bear droppings are smaller and contain berries and possibly squirrel fur. Grizzly bear droppings have little bells in them and smell like pepper spray.

There happened to be what turned out to be a huge aurora storm overnight. Too bad I missed it. Sightings from coast to coast - NY and Maine to BC.
I guess I should ask where Inks' truck might be in the line. He's got the body painted now so it could be done anytime. It's been a much slower process than he first figured, but it's looking pretty good now.
Only two more wakeups till Finally Friday! Yippeeeee!!!! The weekend can't get here fast enough.

Since I'm the quiet one outta me and J, I highly doubt any of y'all ninjas have heard any of this, hell, outside of J, and a couple of mom's I don't think anybody has heard this shit, but since I'm so F'N pissed, consider yourself lucky, cuz, for the first time ever, you get a glance inside Shaggy's head. Aight, if you're even still reading this, it's a long ass story... First, towards the first part of '98 me and this chick, were getting mad close, but my bitch ass 2nd cousin didnt like it, so he decided to start talkin sh*t to her and her family, about how my family hated her, and how I always bitched about her being around, and this other chick that was hangin around our clique was sayin the same sh*t to me, about the chick I was down with. So me and the chick ended up parting ways, without a word, cuz we both were crazy about eachother, but thought the other was only hangin around to get closer to someone else. She ended up hooking up with my cousin, and I hooked up with the other chick. (surprise, surprise... who coulda seen that comin?) I kept hangin out with my cousin, cuz he grew up with me, I thought my ass could trust him, and after 3 years, I guess he felt he could have me and the chick I was close to hang out together, with him, and not have any feeling for eachother. Well we started feeling close again right away. When we hung out in big ass groups, me and her would dissapear, and talk until the others were either ready to leave, or got thrown out. Then last year on February F'N 14th, my so called cousins monkey ass breaks up with the only chick that I can truthfully say that I have loved. What happens you ask? she starts hanging around me more and more, I get rid of the chick that I was with, and we hook up. Within a month of us hooking up, my cousin decides to try and get back with her, and all hell breaks loose. She doesnt know what to do. Then she decides that she wants to be with me, but since she has been with my "cousin" for so long, she has a lot of trouble with getting rid of him. After a year of bullsh*t, they finally quit talking {August 10th or 11th} Then a half a week later, she's tricked (by one of his best friends) into going to Ozzfest {August 17th} (she thought that she was taking his place, and didn't know that he was gonna be there)After that she was mad pissed, and was avoiding his ass at all cost, then he got a hold of her, and said that SHE was the crazy one, and made her feel like she didn't keep her end of the "bargain." So he say's that she's not the one to break things off, it's him, then 2 F'N dayz ago they talk on the phone, she tells my ass not to worry, and she'll tell him to stay away, 2 days later {3 hours ago} I call and she says nothing but "I gotta go" so I say "OK" and she hangs up, so I call back and he take the phone and says that according to her, I haven't talkined to her for a couple months. Of course I argue back and say that he's a dumbass. he says not to call her any more, and I said that I wasn't gonna listen to him, and only her, so he gets her on the phone, and she straight tells me not to call her any more. WTF?! Sorry for wastin your time, but I've put everything I have into this girl for over a year, and she straight f*cks me over, so I just have to vent wherever I can.
Don't worry about it shaggs-vent away , thats a pretty F'd up situation! Sounds like you'll be better off staying away from both of them!

all i can say, shaggs, is basically what artemis said. vent away. i've been venting here with the crew for better than a year now. its kinda therapeutic, and works a hell of a lot better than drinking them away does.
i had to break down yesterday and reboot the machine that does my web and email serving at home. it had been up for at least 45 days. which is impressive considering its running windows 2000. had to do a memory swap in the thing. 512megs just wasn't enough. so now theres a gig in that box and 768 megs in the other.

see, terry, y'all don't have it figured out yet. you both need to carry keys to all your vehicles. on my key ring you will find keys to both my cars, and both my parents' cars. one of these days i'm gonna get ambitious and have the keys for my parents' cars cut onto one key with my dad's car on one side and my mom's on the other (fords are nice that way :), but that'll require some ambition. maybe at lunchtime today....
in other news, i finally ordered my halloween "costume". yup. the mask and the teeth for it that i posted about way back when that vj thought was cooler. between the foam mask and the teeth, i'm looking at 75 bucks. ouch. good thing they're reuseable. and yes, if i don't have a meeting at work that day i fully intend to get up an hour early so i can get it all attached and covered in makeup and wear it all day.
