thank me2. it was her idea. i think the whole goal was to have someplace a little bit less public for those of us who have become closer together by partaking in mock hunts and such to have a place to chat and bounce our ideas off each other because we all use different instant message programs. i just took advantage of my host power in the winter carnival folder and did it. literally, the only people who can see this thread are the people you see listed in the thread header. i'm sure marley and artemis and aw will also be invited in here as well, they just weren't on the list she gave me to give access to. she's got host power here too so she can add them in whenever she wants.

Thanks for posting. I guess those are the people who I was wondering why they weren't included at the top also. I didn't know your outside relationships so I didn't want to pry. I just assumed that all of us 'regulars' were a pretty close knit group. This forum will be very handy. I'm glad to be a part of it. All of you guys are pretty cooler! I sometimes wonder if there aren't a few other 'invite only' threads out there since I see many names that are here but none that are posting. As far as I can see anyway. More power to them I guess. I just hope some people don't get the wrong impression if it was ever brought out. I know how Green was before she left. I'm sure all will understand. I know that I do if there are other threads out there.
i'll disclose what i know about for invite only threads out there. thx has one in the main ppwc folder where the access is limited to his extended family. he's got one there the only he and i have access to where we just post bs in to keep the ppwc folder up top of the member folders list. then there's this one and the other invite only folder. other than those if there's another invite only thread, thx created it and i don't have access to it either. this one is gonna have an incredibly limited list. probably the list of those of us who know each other actually on a first name basis. :) and as far as i'm concerned, in here, go right ahead and call me jason.
now, of course, anyone here can go into the member folders area and create their own folder over which lance will give them total control so if there's another med hunt folder we may well not even know about it. i've seen a bunch of medallion related names show up in who's here, too. so you're right. we may never know what else is out there. what i am making a habit of doing if i see someone show up is fire off an egram to them welcoming them to post.
as for people knowing about this. the access list is incredibly tightly controlled. so if someone else finds out about this thread its because one of us told. and i know its not gonna be me that does the telling, and if you need proof of that, just look at how adamant i am about not revealing what's up with dal.
as for green, well, i remember reading all of terry's posts back and forth with her. i'll let her discuss green. :)
No need to go into it about Green. It sounded like she wasn't in a very good place in her life when we last heard from her. Thanks for clearing things up about the threads tho.
Hello- I mentioned yesterday to Ares about not knowing some names in the 'invitational' - That I felt an invitational shouldnt be handed out to just anyone like what was happening in that thread. Already I didn't recognize 1/2 a dozen people and how many others will be added during the hunt that are unknown. I felt that was what the regular 2003 hunt thread was for. and the 'invitational' was for the 30-40 of us that were more close knit and trustworthy.
I love sharing ideas and bouncing things off others but if anything gets heated I wanted a 'safe place' -
AND - I got tired of telling JASON to instant message Liquor Lady or Marley or whomever all year, cause we had different internet connections. Things that were just not to be posted to others I didn't know. I am not trying to be secretive to the people we know- actually I had briefly only mentioned a couple names cause I had to run out the door to pick up my children from school. So if you dont see a name of someone we ALL know,chances are its just cause of an oooooops.
Please don't feel obligated or bad about this invitational thread - I will use it if things get heated or too full of newbies in the current invitational-
