We were out scouting parks tonight. Highland is out but a couple people digging. Mounds is out though there were quite a few people digging. Cherokee is definately it - especially with this last clue. Hardly anyone there earlier. I bet that's changed!
RE double division: OK, but mounds (we're talking indian mounds, there is also a mounds, but that's not it) borders on both south st paul and west st paul. I also think the large object in view that will guide you refers to the aircraft radio tower at indian mounds (used to guide planes to holman). As for "Mother Lode": Combine that with rosebud to get mama rosa as a container. But I still like the idea of rosebud as a reference to larry hodgson's memorial at como.
What is the elevation of cherokee? Indian mounds has an elevation marker.
Enough about clues, to me the best part of the hunt each year is being out in the field and having people ask you stupid questions. What are your favorites? Here are mine, with my answers:
So, you think it's over here, eh? No, but I got tired of digging over there.
Found anything yet? Yeah, I found it two hours ago, but I love digging in 40 below weather so much, I just kept at it.
Are you looking for the medallion? No, I lost my poodle in a snowbank.
anyway, ryan, only ramsey county residents are eligible to collect the prize money... so even if you could get there from stillwater, it wouldn't do any good
Ryan, Cherokee is across the High Bridge. Can you get yourself to downtown St. Paul? If so, take 7th to Smith and you'll be at the High Bridge. Cherokee is just across the bridge on the West St. Paul side.
Do ya think I should run down there now? or do ya think itll still be there in the afternoon? ps why is cherokee filled with tire tracks? all i know is its makes it easier to walk though
Can also see tracks from Mounds...I'm still in favor of Mounds. (Though, sitting at my computer doesn't accomplish anything...its cold and dark though....brrrrrrr!)
there are two streets, COlorado runs east/west, DElaware runs north/south. They don't actually intersect, but if they are extended to their intersection point, there is a place of double division there
So it's in a cookie or bread....I found some of that already...Think I'll go back and see if there's more.
I'm positive it is Cherokee.
No...dough is bakery goods.
RED DOG what do you mean i cant get there from stillwater? why not? there has to be some way
There is a bakery about 2 blocks from Cherokee.
Shawnster, look at clue 1545. They typed the clue in.
Sorry Ryan the brige is out
so everybody agrees it's at
Cherokee??

it was just at cherokee, are we sure we want to go there, aid- there is a hospital at mounds
Suebee: thanx!
no, could be anywhere...
Oops, I mean message 1545. I was a Mounds fan before, now I'm thinking Cherokee.

Where is Cherokee...if I look on my Hudson Map...what street?
you all are too much!! LOL :o)
Thanks for the humor Doodledog!

We're here to help each other out, not exclude anyone.
For doodledog, Cherokee is directly across the HIGH bridge. Don't know the elevation but it is high ground,
Sorry, we just got on the net and we missed the clue can someone type it in for us?? Thanks
You're right about the comments, Doodle. I always laugh at the question: "Any luck?"
live in sorth st. paul, but i am in stillwater at a friends house
Does anyone else think the word "track" in clue 6 was just a rhymer for stack? I wonder if RR tracks have nothing to do with it.
there are train tracks right by cherokee. can't miss em.
Jake, check out message 1545. It's there a couple of times.
If you just don't know where to go, Her's a clue to aid your decision: The medallion that promises lots of dough Is near a line of double division.
If you just don't know where to go
Here's a clue to aid your decision:
The medallion that promises lots of dough
Is near a line of double division
ryan, is so. st. paul in ramsey county?
A rosebud pastry would be a good thing to savor in Cherokee. Just don't go into Lilydale....duke
this might be way off, but do you think double division might refer to RR tracks?
Maybe its at Jurassic Park...
jake, that's ok, a lot of people that were here missed the clue :)
Just an FYI., I'm sure Mounds is out. Doodle, Mounds borders absolutely nothing. Miles from WSP or SSP.
Can also see tracks from Mounds...I'm still in favor of Mounds. (Though, sitting at my computer doesn't accomplish anything...its cold and dark though....brrrrrrr!)
there are train tracks, woods, water, and places where kids go zoom, all over st paul, not to mention that seven hills provide a lot of high ground!
LMAO, Bevis!!!! Too funny!!!!!
You guys are all off TRACK. Hasn't anybody heard of Dome Park right off Division Street?
It doesn't seem as if clue 7 helped out much. It makes Cherokee look pretty inviting, but it's not certain. Hmmm
In two, it talks about water and woods in the neighborhood, both of those streets are in the neighbor hood of cherokee
dont know about south st paul, but i know north st. paul is
Sorry we just logged on and we missed the clue. Can anyone help us out??? please repeat the clue for us stupid idiots here!!
Selma, where is Dome Park and Division street? I've never heard of it.
