It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
Funny story....last year the clue came out that IT was in Cherokee....about five guys had been digging for hours at the big chair before the bridge downtown St. Paul. They saw the chair part, but never quite hit on the Chair-o-key. And just down the road were the masses of people.
RW - I've dug the last two days - taking a night off - sending the wife and kids out tomorrow am - bright & early (equal opportunity!!). It is at NP - and when you see the "4" it hits you like a ton of bricks - it's pretty darn clever of the PP - you'll say -WOW MAN, THAT ISSSSS COOL. I'll be back at a it tomorrow - cause I think y'all will waste enough of your time at HP, CP, and other parks. Tonight the chat room will work people against NP - that's cool by me - the system does work.
Where are you goin Scott? Woodduck/Golden, I'm gunna hang on here and get the clue and see what people are sayin and then head to Newell. Do you want me to call your mobile and give you the clue?
Is anyone aware of the ski jump that is at Battle Creek Park.It is still in use. ( could be in reference to clue 3) What do you think? Could go back to the past be in reference to the fact that it was there in 95. and 4 pointing you to clue 4 that states go back to the past?
Birdie / Woodduck - I'm gonna get the clue on-line tonight, probably going to cool my heels and head out at day-break. Historically - the treasuer has usually been found in the daytime, then you can see what you diggin. I know we're in the right spot../ Hope #6 naroows our search area and then hit it hard in the AM. That was fun last night guys. We'll do it again soon I'm sure.
Golden Boy, thanks for the message. We were the ones who dug up the large rectangle in front of the park building yesterday around five p.m. We live 1hr 30min from NP so we cant just swing by these parks. We are simply wondering if you have to be at the corner by the 895 house to see the "4".
Birdie15: I think Golden and I are going to take tonight off, unless #6 is totally great. I'm just going to sit here and watch everyone argue about the nonsense!
Golden: Let me know if you think #6 is compelling enough to dig!! Also, check your email at 9:30.
Davis...Sorry, we were there last weekend. I think we'll be out hunting this weekend. Please come to the rehash bash though planned for February 7th in the park that the medallion is found in. We will be picnicking!
There is no way it could be Horton. Horton Park does not have anything but trees. And not only that it is way to small. I think you have the wrong name for the park you are thinking of. (It is at the coner of Minnhaha and Hamline
Clue 4 To succeed in this deed, look where the weed Meets the seasonal plastic and wood. This clue will help you speed To the appropriate neighborhood. Line two refers to the sleds and skis that are prevalent in the park. The word "speed" indicates how fast sleds can go down a nearby hill.
With all due respect RW - why are you asking me? In fact I regret disclosing my thought towards NP and supporting others thoughts towards NP. It's there. If you saw it you would know it. I'm gonna sit back tonight - watch - and let the cooler push people elswhere.
rock...check the clue page and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on one of the two links tere itll tell ya everything...?... Holly you still out there?
95----clue #4------------To succeed in this deed, look where the weed meets the seasonal plastic and wood. This clue will help you speed to appropriate neighborhood.============Line 2 refers to the sleds and skis that are prevalent in BC. The word "speed" indicates how fast sleds can go down a nearby hill
I'll mark calendar for 7th, but don't think I can come. Next year, I'll find out about the get-together before hunt. Your know me at the park cause friends are always saying, 'Davis get diggin'.
GOOD NEWS FOR MEDALLION HUNTERS. I JUST LOOKED AT THE RECENT WEATHER REPORTS AND TOMORROW AND FOR AT LEAST A WEEK TEMPS WILL BE 37 ALL THE WAY THROUGH 45 DEGREES. sO WE CAN SAY GOODBYE TO OUR DEADLY FRIEND THE SNOW.
We do other things during the year. We meet monthly for Shooting the Breeze - Live! Check in on the web page periodically for updates...Come join us anytime!
The Rock -- "In 1995, Clue No. 4 - "To succeed in this deed, look where the weed meets the seasonal plastic and wood. This clue will help you speed to the appropriate neighborhood." The explanation is that line two refers to the sleds and the skis that are prevalent in the park. The word "speed" indicates how fast sleds can go down a nearby hill.
ALTHOUGH NP SEEMS TO BE IT I SHARE FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO LOOK DOWNTOWN. RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CATHEDRAL THERE IS A STATUE OF A FIGURE WITH A GUN(BLAST) SOMETHING ABOUT THE ABOLISHMENT OF SLAVERY. HUNTERS THERE (VETERANS SOME) MENTIONED A MARATHON THAT FLYS DOWN SUMMIT I BELIEVE. STATUE FACES AND IS RIGHT ACCROSS THE STREET FROM THE MN HISTORY MUS. SCORE, GOAL?? WELL FROM THIS PIONT ONE CLEARLY SEE THE NEW HOME OF THE MN WILD HOCKEY. GOOD LUCK TOO ALL! COUNT SYMBOLS ON STATUE AND LANDMARKS NEARBY
WELL I JUST WENT TO NEWWELL PARK AND I STOOD IN MANY SPOTS WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE TOWER. THERE IS ONE AREA THAT LOOKED INTERESTING TO ME. THERE WAS A BRUSH AND BEYOND THAT THERE LOOKED TO BE A LOT BEYOND THEM INCLUDING A LITTLE SHELTER WITH A DOOR AND WITHA 4 PRINTED ON THE DOOR. POSSIBLY A GOOD POSSIBILITY. ILL BE LOOKING FOR MOER CLUES AND ILL BE HERE AT 11:30 CHECKIN OUT THE CLUE. HOPEFULLY IT WILL REVEAL SOMETHING.
Hey Golden Boy: What are your plans tonight?
I say let's wait to see if #6 says anything.

CAN ANYONE GO BACK AND FIND OUT IN 1995 THE MEDALLION HUNT AND WHAT CLUE 4 STATED?
Sounds good golden. Woodduck, you gunna be out there?
Birdie15: I think Golden and I are going to take tonight off, unless #6 is totally great. I'm just going to sit here and watch everyone argue about the nonsense!

I dig every year, about 10 now, and always have an adventure and fun.

too funny! On another note....if 94.5 was the KS95 tower...then what does "numbers keep score and adorn the front door" mean?
You can find all the clues for the 1990's at www.coolercrew.com.
I wish I could find a female gif pirate digging.

OK EVERYBODY BESIDES THE KS95 AND THE 4 WHAT ELSE DO YOU THINK THAT THE 9 5 AND 4 MEAN

I don't think the numbers have been defined yet. #6 or #7 for that.
945 may be as simple as a park that over looksI94 were there is four lanes
What does anyone think last night's/ today's clue meant???????
if you go to the page where post #5711 is on, you can see the error.....
any hoo....and if 9, 5, and 4 are on the KS95 tower what does: "numbers keep score and adorn the front door" mean?
Anyone know of any newer parks?

Golden Boy, good luck to you tomorrow with the family search. If it's not found Friday, we'll be there Sat and the rest of the search.
the "new" park we know of is Linwood

Vicki the numbers on the door could be the hours the park is open example: 9-5 mon- thurs. 9-4 on Fri
