1999 Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

WENT TO CONWAY LAST NIGHT, EVERYTHING FITS BUT THE NUMBERS

Yes Chris, it was, but people need to think--would sysop, with all of his magical tools, announce the finding by posting it here once? Not likely. When it is found, he

will wield HTML tricks and make it appear at the top of the page!!!! Some people just think that's a funny joke. Seems many of these appear when mom isn't

home...

After playing this game for a number of years, I find at least one clue, usually an early one, that makes sense only after it is found. For example, when it was found in

como two years ago, they mentioned the number 27 in clue two or three. That ment the number of trees you had to count from the road mentioned in a later clue.

Maybe we don't have the companion clue yet, or maybe its just not decipherable my most of us......I would say if everything else fits, dig, dig, dig.

What we think of 954... At Conway when you are standing in the middle of the FOUR Baseball diamonds, starting at the library and running along Wilson Street you

will find 9 trees, and as you continue onto Ruth street you will see 5 trees running along the curb as well.Four being either the number of baseball diamonds or the

backstop number 4. Rock what do you think? Also there is a TRANSLUCENT peak at Conway.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 5:14 PM Permalink

Rock...last night they were explaining Conway here...line of trees is "Woodrow as in Woodrow Wilson which is wilson street at Conway....

here if anyones to lazy: Thanks to Cougar

CONWAY PARK: Clue #1: A park in St Paul, no golf course. Clue #2: A sledding hill on one side of the park. Clue #3: Possibly sports score. Baseball, football,

hockey, basketball, tennis all present. Clue #4: Medallion never been at Conway before. Clue #5: Sunray Library Clue #6: Ruth Street - Babe Ruth. "fit in our

game", "a man of fame" "bring the treasure HOME" Clue #7: WOODROW Wilson - a wood row is a line of trees, Wilson Street is by the park. Clue #8: In a

softball, probably on baseball fields. The rec center has a white glass pyrimid on top the front door lit from inside at night, or possibly glass pyrimids at corner of

Sunray Shopping Center, both visible from baseball diamonds.

Ok, Rock. My insights are not the best, but I hate to see you lose your mind over this $10 grande item.

Conway is off of Ruth Street: The Babe Ruth has been found in many a tome. Also, the 3M sign is the big red mark in the sky. Ittiz Eye thinks my facts are jacked,

but I have a strong feeling its Conway. I'm tired of talking.... Start diggin. Highland is my next favorite....Spent time digging there. Still could be...

THX 1138

Show me the money, how do you know the times of closing for the rec center. We had the same idea but we looked at the doors for times and they weren't on

there.
