It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
You Know what's funny,2 days ago, I actually thought that the Med. was at Newell Park.I went by there today and there wasn't a single person there.Than I thought
it was at Merriam Park, which I think it still could, but I think you guys have convinced me mostly about Conway, even though I haven't been there yet.
Eags! How did the search go today? Are you still sticking with the last park we saw you in yesterday? These clues are too darn confusing! Has Miss Valentine been
I think tonights clue will reasure everyone its in Conway and give us a hint as to wear in there. If you think its somewhere other than Conway, share your reasons
If we have to be an Iconoclast, we turn away from images, etc. The sun ("Hyperion", "Ra", depending on your culture) has always been a source of worship, an
image if you will. From Conway, you can see the Sun Ray shopping center sign, but only the top of it, saying "Sun". Looking south from the corner of Wilson and
Pedersen (sic),you can see a True Value Hardware sign (perhaps the valuable sign?). I'm thoroughly convinced its at Conway. I just can't believe the people who are
trenching the snow as if its buried under a foot of month and a half old snow. I guess its not as bad as the people at highland who blew quite a bit of trail with their
snow blower (good idea. lets chop up the plastic medallion whilst we're at it.)
For those who care, the clogged server effect you're noticing is the slashdot effect. It is what happens when a web server gets severely hit due to an announcement
on a high volume news site. Just a technical note. In fact, if you hurry and go to slashdot, there's a link to an article describing the effect.
92: The only reason I asked is that the Med has rarely been found at night AND by one person. I quit going @ night because I figure I might just miss it if I dig it up -
the odds are against me. Any opinion? Should I just dig till I die?
Mushie, won't be there till morning. Tell me what your favorite donut is and it will be waiting for you. I drive a 98 Lincoln Navigator . Green in color. Anyone in
Conway in a.M stop by and we will discuss the final conclusions to this problem. Sorry I can't be there tonight but my kids and wife come first.
Kristine... I think 9,5,4 is hwy 94 & hwy 5 near conway... also could be referencing players as in baseball, basketball and tennis(doubles) but am thinking there will
be more meaning to it in future clues... could mean the 4 baseball fields at conway also... but am sure of this... I DONT KNOW FOR SURE!! LOL
Ares - the medallion very well could be under a foot of month old snow!! Look at last year at Cherokee! That thing must have been turned over twelve times before
someone actually found it. It's been found under ice before. I think they go out and hide the thing when there is a forecast for lots of snow.
The numbers 9,5,4. On the topedo it has the year 1945 the torpedo is red so thats the red object in the sky the water high, its right on the shore of como lake flying
downhill, the slide the winter carnival is in view studying the past.........
As someone pointed out yesterday, about mid way between Wilson and Conway is the address 459 Ruth. However, its the wording of the clue (a 9 and a 5 and
somewhere a 4) tells me that we're going to find the 9 and 5 in a different place from the 4.
1)The numbers 9,5,4. On the topedo it has the year 1945 2)the torpedo is red so thats the red object in the sky 3)the water high, its right on the shore of como lake
4)flying downhill, the slide the winter carnival is in view 5)studying the past.........a torpedo from WW II
B.E. and anyone else who cares, this is not kindergarten, you do not need to ask anyone's permission to share your thoughts. I'm not your mother, just tell us
Thanks, Chris P. The only problem is, I'm not very computer literate (over age 30, you know, and I don't know how to get back to Post 16318, or to get back here
Just got back from Conway again. Typical hunting war zone. There were quite a few people. I wonder how many people have walked over it. Still think tonights clue
will shed some light on location within park (east or west at least). Anyone going out tonight after clue?
I know this may sound crazy...but i like to look at all angles and I've never been convinced of conway. I was at hidden falls today and i saw "high water" and I saw a
red object in the sky. It started raining and i still had work clothes on ...but i imagine i could find a translucent peak on the other side of the river if i tried. I also
imagine that the red object and high water would be seen at crosby which is right across the river from fort snelling (surely thats a blast from the past)? what do you
think? I haven't even tried to squeeze all the other clues in...but i'm sure you could. I just have a real gut feeling that conway is NOT it.
lol...you guys got the clues all twisted no wonder we are not figuring these out...the clue said......#9....keep an eye out for water on high this could be an excellent
clue a large red object high in the sky(not round) will also help to orient you
I also believe there is no doubt it is at Conway. There is a lot of ground to cover, and no exact location yet. We have the park, but WHERE in the park ???? I can't
I totally know what the numbers are for....
WAY TO GO STARBURY...I AGREE 100%....NOW JUST NEED TO FIND OUT WERE IN CONWAY..ANY THOUGHTS?

does conway have those old warm up shacks with the transluscent green windows running along the top of the roof.
Eags! How did the search go today? Are you still sticking with the last park we saw you in yesterday? These clues are too darn confusing! Has Miss Valentine been
around today? I wish you good luck!

so I take that as a no???? the 4,5,9?lol
im looking for a girl about 5 feet 9 inches with nice medallions i'll be looking for my treasure at conway!!!
(Deleted item originally posted by California Dreamin' on 09:19pm Feb 1, 1999 CST)
ther are two adresses around conway that have 9-5-4 also how about a ks95 bag=94.5
B.E. - it says it is not adjacent to or on the grounds of a water tower.
It says it is not near a PUBLIC watertower. The watertower by Conway is owned by 3M, which is on PRIVATE property!
oh vivki I beg you...I have been going nuts over that clue...
I think its by the torpedo by como lake, does anyone want to hear my reasons for each clue?

Look the water tower is not adjacent to, or next to the park...you can see it from a distance
These clues are only confusing for those of you that are nomally confused anyway!!!!!
b.e lets here some reasons for the torpedo at como

California: See post 16318!!!
Sugarlips! Hello!!!!! We're still thinking the same park.
Motorcycle Mama was on earlier today too. It was so nice meeting you both yesterday.

AND THEY ALSO SAY AT THE TOP OF TODAYS CLUE THAT IT IS NOT BY THE WATER TOWER OR ON THOSE GROUNDS...BUT YOU CAN
SEE THE WATER TOWER FROM CONWAY PARK, WHICH IS LISTED IN THE ST.PAUL PARKS GUIDE TO TREASURE HUNTING EDTION
1996

Yes, B.E., I would like to hear your reasons for Como, although I still vote Highland.
The numbers 9,5,4. On the topedo it has the year 1945 the torpedo is red so thats the red object in the sky the water high, its right on the shore of como lake flying

I think they hide it on the last day of the search. Otherwise, I'd have it by now!
How do you people say Highland or como?
Starbury>>Is the 3m sign round? because the clue says "...large ROUND object..." please W/B
wow donut man even a dedicated man too...lol:)

Thanks, Chris P. The only problem is, I'm not very computer literate (over age 30, you know, and I don't know how to get back to Post 16318, or to get back here
afterwards! Anyone mind "clueing" me in?
No, it says:
Keep out an eye for water on high
This could be an excellent clue
A large RED object high in the sky
Will also help to orient you
Also, Orient means East Side
wouldnt have said anything if you wouldnt have gotten mad, didnt meat to offend you, just trying to be polite
