Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:04 AM Permalink
Medallion Sleuth

Satchel Page

Does anyone know if they write all the clues before the hunt begins, or if they write them as they go along, depending on how close people get?

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:05 AM Permalink
Logan

I'm with you StepDogg- last year i froze my ass off at Newell for about 10 hours- well good thing I was in the wrong damn park!!

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:06 AM Permalink
wrightwinger

see, thats the prime trickery, make it sound like newell last year, have it at conway, have it at newell, while people are angry at newell for being sucked their last year

Mac-Grove Man

For Linwood...#6 may refer to the TRAIN TRACKS at the bottom of the hill.

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:06 AM Permalink
hide-n-seek

Y?

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:07 AM Permalink
RRusty

PIE 3 or 4 ??!!!! <WEG>

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:07 AM Permalink
StepDogg

Rust -- i have a diff. take than most...

Clue 2 - "astute" anagram = statue (ice castle)

clue 3 -- tower or two = towers on the statue...and you are looking north looking at it (everyone else thinks water towers or something)

Clue 4 -- obviously the pavilion and that little canopy + like 30 or more grills.

Clue 5 -- ????????

Clue 6 -- have only read it once so no real ideas.

I don't know, i guess it's just a feeling...what's your take?

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:07 AM Permalink
PIE

I've never been in the wrong PARK! What's it like???!!!

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:07 AM Permalink
Logan

Satchel I once heard that the clues are written before the hunt begins

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:08 AM Permalink
RRusty

hide& ....nothing I do work for 3m

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:08 AM Permalink
Mac-Grove Man

Question to ponder...some response would be appreciated...

Could set your own pace and/or opposites attract refer to a path marked for both walking/running and bicycles????

Let us all verbally noodle this.

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:08 AM Permalink
StepDogg

Logan -- I spent like 4-5 DAYS in that god forsaken park!!! I hate it!!!

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:09 AM Permalink
hide-n-seek

I SAY MAYBE MAC

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:09 AM Permalink

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:09 AM Permalink
Satchel Page

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:09 AM Permalink

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:10 AM Permalink
Logan

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:11 AM Permalink
hide-n-seek

OOH DO THEY HAVE A NEWELL PARK IN COLORADO?

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:11 AM Permalink
Troy & Kitty

No bike/walking paths at Newell

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:11 AM Permalink
Logan

why

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:11 AM Permalink
Mac-Grove Man

It was just a hunch....that path, along with viable answers to the other clues still exist at ......

INDIAN MOUNDS PARK

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:12 AM Permalink
Medallion Sleuth

what about the anagram...we have to have gotten one by now....astute=statue is pretty obvious...but any others??

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:12 AM Permalink
KING MARLEY

king marley is going to jamaica

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:12 AM Permalink
Troy & Kitty

Why rule out Phalen? That park has paths, so does Como.

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:13 AM Permalink
Logan

Did you go to PP in tropical attire?

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:13 AM Permalink
StepDogg

You know what....i don't know if people know this or not, but bow hunters and archers do practice at Phalen...if you go around "round lake" there are archery stands back there.

"Well trained eye" "hunters" "attack"

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:13 AM Permalink
KING MARLEY

ya man

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:14 AM Permalink
Medallion Sleuth

I'd rule out parks with other events planned at them...too much havoc

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:14 AM Permalink
Kitchica Boo

could the right track mean that the park is to the right of the train tracks?

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 1:15 AM Permalink
KING MARLEY

good bye
