Ian, How old is that music?

    Sun, 01/27/2002 - 12:08 AM Permalink
    King Boreas aka Ian

I think the song was written in the 30's, this record might have been made in the 50's ??

Can I get a copy if I bring some blank cd's for all your trouble?

    Sun, 01/27/2002 - 12:13 AM Permalink
    King Boreas aka Ian

I collect records and this one is nowhere to be found, except in the possession of a person who posts here. She has it on CD now, and I plan to share it with who-ever's interested.

Bock for just a quick post...

This, on top o'Scribe's antics ARE TOO MUCH!!!!!! I'm NEVER going to get to sleep for laughing!!!

So... I crawl into bed and snuggle down unner the cubbers with Pickles - our Pug...

The Brown had been watching "Jerry Springer," and mutters, "What a stupid show," as he prepares to leave the room...

And continues by saying, "You know, my sister was on that show once."

    me: "WHAT? Your SISTER?"

The Brown, "Yeah. She was, a couple of years ago... They flew her out there and everything, put her in a motel, fed her - kids and all."

me: "WHAT? WHY? Why was your sister on THERE?"

The Brown, "Oh, for dysfunctional families."

me: "WHAT? NOW YOU TELL ME!"

Oh my gods! This could only happen to ME!!!!!

    (banging head repeatedly on desk.........)

I did a lot of research on it. The narrator, Robert C. Bruce, was fairly well known in his time. A guy just got an exclusive interview with him a few months ago. I think he's in his 90's now.

Okay, cookies are a baking now. I'm wondering if they should be chocolate "chip on my shoulder" cookies or chocolate "I have no desire to buy a canned potato" chip cookies.

Green, next thing you know, Mr. Brown will start saying he's a spotter.

Welcome back S & P. You're going to visit a grandparent at the nursing home tomorrow?

    Sun, 01/27/2002 - 1:21 AM Permalink
    spunkyandpunky

the woman we are going to visit is an 80 something old woman who has NO family and she is at the nursing home my grandfather was at for the last 3 years he just died before xmas and we have adopted her because she is sooooo sweet and needs family

    Sun, 01/27/2002 - 1:23 AM Permalink
    ThoseMedallingKids

Ahh, I see. Would you have to go with your family, or couldn't you just go on your own? If you did that, then she would get more visitors than normal. Or at least more spread out. My grandmother is in a nursing home, and I could visit her with my grandfather or other family, but I go by myself, so she has more visitors during the week, as opposed to just one group less times.
