2002 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

VJ, maybe Pi Press will be hiring a new cluewriter (we should be so lucky!).

That reminds me, did anyone see today's Sports section front page? Headline was "Dark horse, race horse." Sound familiar?

Yeah, i should apply for the PP as the new clue writer...but that would leave me out of hunting and what fun would that be...unless that is, when i let you people know where its hidden, if you'll split some of the loot with me?

Thats it....

Ares is a Spotter eating M&M's, looking for a wife in "Marry 'em" Park, wearing Jeans and a laptop held around his neck by a strap, with one of those hats on his head that has the straws feeding him Coke 24/7!

But he does all of this from his bedroom, while leaning back in his computer chair, looking up at his underwear hanging from his chandelier... because he won't walk all the way through a door!

Mon, 01/28/2002 - 11:03 AM Permalink
leelabell

Note to self: Find Ares a chick so he learns to wear clothes other than jeans.

Mon, 01/28/2002 - 11:03 AM Permalink
ares

well, j, if you were the writer, you could always participate by spotting. course you wouldn't be able to be the clown when you did.

Mon, 01/28/2002 - 11:03 AM Permalink
Treasure Digger

Ouch, Ares. Glad I'm not sitting in your chair right now.

Mon, 01/28/2002 - 11:04 AM Permalink
ares

me2, actually the coke comes in most of the time in an iv drip.

leela, that ain't gonna happen. besides i wear things other than jeans. i just dislike doing it. and that's just an expression. i really wouldn't wear jeans to my own wedding.

Mon, 01/28/2002 - 11:05 AM Permalink
Wicked Nick

yeah, that would look kinda funny...people would come in here then, complaining about how they were at a park and some guy in clown makeup was watching them from a car.

The hunt is done which gives us great fright,

I was so close this year, to my hearts delight,

I hunted at Merrium tues, wed and thursday night

When I walked the bases it was right under my nose

but Friday morn I left the park cause the bathroom was closed

The medallon was found without knitted encasement

So here I am cleaning my basement.

Sorry I missed so many of you at the rehash bash. It was my Wife's birthday and she wanted to see a movie.... Thanks to all your great ideas this year, we had most of the clues figured out. At first todays clue seamed stupid, but now I think it was one of the better ones this year. Getting St. Marks out of X marks the spot would have been hard, but doable.
