2002 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

Oh, you know it Ares. That's already been discussed ;)

LM, I'm not sure. I was tempted to look at some things. We have a year to plan. We can throw around ideas as far as what we'd want, prices, where we'd get things done, etc. There was some discussion tonight, but nothing major.

Some thought sweatshirts might be nice, but I think some wanted clothing that could be seen on the outside while still being warm.

Night night LM. MCL and SCDs. I myself go to sleep. If it's a decent time, that depends on what is decent. And of course, Ares being a computer generated program, he doesn't go to sleep.

Thanks for lighting things up LM. I'm still sippin' your 'cold ones' and smokin' a little of your 'Jamacan blend pot' (Did I get that right?). Happy Groundhog Day (Yesterday?) and Superbowl Day (Today). 6 more weeks people. But with a winter like this, who cares? Only 1 night below zero so far!? In Minnesota?

Who could ask for more? ...

Glad to see the parade went OK - I was nursing a sick kid AND a hangover ;(

And I used to live @ The Buttery and now live @ Wild Tymes. Damn! I could of got a couple of free rounds for the crew. One bonus for working downtown after hours. I guess it really didn't help tonight though. Sorry gang.

- Nice 29k Joe Ares! I might need to wait until July, but 30 is mine buddy!!

Morning all. For those of you who see, today's question: Who do you think will win the Super Bowl?

Sun, 02/03/2002 - 11:48 AM Permalink
l and a mommy

So now that we have finished out the Winter Carnival does that mean that nobody will be around anymore? It's soooo quiet.....now what am I to do with my day....I guess it means more shopping ;-)

I honestly couldn't care less TMK I don't know either of the teams very well so I guess I go with the Rams since that seems to be the favorite...

Lisa's Mommy- Things may die down slightly here on the board. But I think that those who are around now, for the most part will still post and check in.

As for the game today, I don't really care much myself. I think the Rams will win, but would like to see the Patriots win.

die down slightly???? there were 8 messages since 4:30 this morning when I was up... you call that slightly? It is also Sunday and SuperBowl day as well....so I guess tomorrow will really show how slow it will really get

Hey TMK-

I have your CD. Sometime we will have to meet up and I can give it to you.

I don't care who wins either, and I like football. I will prolly watch the commercials and read the paper in between.

Sun, 02/03/2002 - 12:04 PM Permalink
l and a mommy

Lee I was thinking the same thing earlier I want to see the commercials as well so I guess I have to put up with the game.

oh,I knew you would stop visiting here after the parade! I should be watching the Super Bowl, if only for the commercials, but after the half-time shiw, I was crying too much to enjoy anything. I mean, U-2 was only barely into 2 songs when they had to stop, and the name-scroll behind the band was only starting the E's! That made me soooo sad! ...But I'm glad they did that. I don't think we should EVER forget what happened on 9-11. And I think the stupid things our country spends money on would be best used on our school system, and health care system...... I mean, I don't get offended that the Bible's out there refer to All of us as "man" but some yahoos out there feel the need to make the Bible politically correct, and non-sexist. .....To the cost of 1,000,000.00$ (or more...) ...And Ashcroft felt insecure being taped in front of that statue bearing, and baring a breast... Cost? 10,000$ ( that we know of...) (It would have cost so little to MOVE THE PODIUM!!!) But obviously, the terrorist attacks weren't intense enough to change our way of bigoted, disposable thinking.

ares

don't worry, katie, many of us will still be here even though the carnival is over.

Sun, 02/03/2002 - 8:33 PM Permalink

What needs to happen to our country before a serious re-thinking happens? A valid prioritising, a genuine no falling back to the money-wasting senseless "it's for your own good" "in the name of research" involve everyone to feather your bed kind of madness we've been structured to accept- without question.??? Whew! I know it's so much to think about in such a forum as this, but if I can't tell nasty jokes for fear of censorship, then I will ask intense, controversial questions. And I may be so bold as to add, If you think you have a hard time explaining that joke I told a few days ago to your children, how will you explain this? If, in fact, your kids read over your shoulder, and you cannot effectively explain this ranting, then why be concerned with a risque joke? Your children hear, and see much more garbage than has ever been in print here. And I challenge the fact that it will be much easier to explain, or make un-important any innuendo, joke, or thoughts written thus far in this room, than it would be to explain, validate,or make truth of why our country was attacked last fall, and why we all pay too much for bread and milk.

Oh geeze, ares, you greek god of war! I was hoping that I could lay out my angst alone, and here you are! But I feel that you obviously don't hold the super bowl in such high esteem as most men.
