2002 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

Some of you guys have too much info on people.

this is true. but for the most part, the info we have is info that's been told knowing this is a public forum, and knowing it may be being watched by someone. but i can see your concern very well there.

I've just slogged through a zillion posts and am convinced that the best job in town is that of the master gardener's husband. Where do I apply?

Fri, 01/11/2002 - 4:07 PM Permalink
Map Guy

I suppose he's already in transit...projects finished and clients billed in time for an early release.

Just be his mistress instead, the mistress always gets better presents.

My desk is slowly being cleared off so that it does appear that I've done something today.

Good Evening!

Aren't Friday nights the best? It's a feeling like none other.

Somewhere in the slogging there was someone wondering about Santa Dave. I think we may be seeing him tomorrow. I'll let him know he's been asked about.

Downtown Dave has also posted here this year so he's around some. Sorry I can't remember who was wondering about him.

Bock.

Phillip... Would have loved to have seen that balancing act... Did you balance them on your nose? What do you practice with? Basketballs?

McGovern's is expecting The 'Crew to begin arriving at around 7:00 PM, on Saturday, January 19, 2002. When you get there, you may want to tell them you're with The Cooler Crew as there is the possibility we will be in a room upstairs due to attendees numbering 80 or even higher.

Howdy, Ter, Tim, Phillip, Frosti!

Brown and I pigged out at The Gopher again today... Man, I LOVE those dogs!

I just gotta ask... How can ANYONE not check in here on weekends during The Hunt???? I find that really weird...

If we do end up upstairs, for those who may not know, the entrance to the upstairs is actually on the side of the building. Anyway, I'm heading for home now. I'll probably be back after 7:30 maybe.

Good Evening, All!

I have just enough time tonight for one quick in-n-out post.

Terry - Bravo on your "soapbox" post this morning!! Very, very well said.

Also, someone asked about cooler crew buttons. They are in process, still working on finalizing the design, and we hope to have them at the pre-dig gig. (And I'm NOT the one doing the designing this time - but I'm happy to help with getting them made up, having done that once or twice before).

#3 - seem to remember someone trying to recall a Philip that was also called "Dad". Dollars to donuts that would be emmy and hannah's dad.

We've got to go out and look for some carpet, and have an opportunity for no kids to be with us - so we're going! Hope to be back here later tonight!

Mom!!! Weird... Was just bock wondering about Cooler Crew buttons and you posted!

GREAT!!! I can't wait to see/have them! They're always so great!

Who's designing them this year? Didn't Terry last year and you the year before? Switching off folks designing is a COOLER idea!!!! I'd like to do it once, but I don't think the design would be as good as what you two have done. And I'd annally labor over the silly thing and when said and done, the button would be the size of a dinner plate!!! LOL!!!

Nah. Don't think I'll ask if I can design one one year.

I wonder if this would be accurate for the Cooler Crew: "10,000 posts before the hunt for $10,000 in the land of 10,000 lakes"

Going fro here for a bit.

But first I just need to brag a titch.

Son (currently finishing his Masters) has been offered a 6-9 month position in his field that will give him the chance to do the field work he is interested in doing while he decides to get his doctorate or go to law school. I'm sooooooooooooo excited for him!!!

Fri, 01/11/2002 - 6:25 PM Permalink

Congratulations to you and to him Terry, what field is he pursuing presently? I love lefsé, so I had to ask, how many good scandihoovians are out there!

ThoseMedallingKids

I like da lefse. And congratulations Terry, should be proud. :)

Fri, 01/11/2002 - 6:29 PM Permalink
Terry

Nope green. I don't.

He's in Park Resource Management and Administration. A tree hugger type of profession...works with the DNR and Fish and Wildlife. If he decides to do the law school thing next, it would be in environmental law. With a doctorate, he'd be one of those way up there, higher up echelon folks.

How does everyone eat there lefsé? Plain? With Butter/Margarine only? With butter/margarine and Sugar?

Fri, 01/11/2002 - 6:30 PM Permalink
Rushmore

Wonderful Terry, good for him. Nothing wrong with being a tree hugger!

Fri, 01/11/2002 - 6:30 PM Permalink

Lefse is eaten here buttered and sugared...and sometimes wrapped around some of dat Svedish Sausage.

Fri, 01/11/2002 - 6:31 PM Permalink
Terry

I'm soooooo excited for him I could just bust a gut!

Now....I'm really going fro. Need to get something done around here.

Still no mail here green.

Environmental law? We could send him after those naughty hunters who climb trees or dig them up or hurt the environment while looking for the medallion? PS- Here's a Joe for ya Green

Hhhuummm... resent.

Jeezo, Terry. I don't see how you and Inks can keep the buttons on your shirts with the two kids you've got.

Rush, I like leftsa (sp?) with butter... I'm not a Scandahoovian... Closest I get to being one is living in MN and hunting The Med.

I prefer spicer food. I'm a card-carrying Chile-Head! :D

Thanky, Kids!
