I was just looking at a map in the region that I think of the clues lining up, and Boyd came up. As well as Rice.
If Nick Coleman is the clue writer this year . . . as I've heard . . . he's going to throw this crueler crew into a tizzy. They've already referenced barbs, etc. So I don't think this is going to be an easy dig.
IMHO . . . . "puck" was mentioned twice. Which leads me to think of course, Hockey. St. Paul took a leap by bringing Hockey back to Minnesnowta . . . and the coldest star . . . . North. Which the original hockey team was North Stars. I'm seriously considering the Xcel's area as possibilities. Also there's a park near the Cathedral (Faith anew). The Cathedral did have reconstructive surgery recently.
Queen... I R tryin' to be a 'gentler, kinder' green... (Ter says it fits and I R doin' good!!!)
Sumtimes it works... Sometimes it ain't gonna.
Don't piss me off on The 'Crew - which I'll defend to my death; don't piss me off digging - you cause The Hunt to be abolished, look over your shoulder, Sweetheart, as I'll be there (along with about gods know how many udders...)
I can still yell - and will. I'm yust being a bit more judicious.
Cherokee comes very close as well. Red/White/Blue doesn't necessarily mean a flag . . . . they just want us to "think" that. But if it is . . . Where's the biggest freaking flag you know of that's near downtown?
Then think of Legions as in American . . . . there's the HQ near the Vet's building . . . but no hunting on the capitol grounds. So getting to think of door always open???? Hmmmmmmm . . . . most churches are always open. Which brings me back to the Cathedral. Line 'em up and you have a region of digs. That's why Boyd came up.
Harriet has a Fireman's Memorial there (red white blue & Legions). But I think Green may be right about St Paul not wanting it disturbed with hunters. Nick Coleman the clue writer!
I agree about the "faith anew" part..always thought it had something to do with the Cathedral. I have BC, Cherokee on my list. Also have park up by the Cathedral/History Center area on my list to check out tomorrow...
Ya know . . . after the 9-11 tragedy, there was a military man talking on one of the radio stations, me thinks it was 'CCO, and he commented that there was a incredible surge in flag raising . . . but he was talking about the proper ways of displaying the flag. He said that the best display he's ever seen was . . . . of course,
JQ . . . I can't drive down to hunt tonight, but I will definately be hunting all day tomorrow. Those are the first places that I'm checking out (as I'm sure everyone else has already). But I need to get the "feel" and the "spirit" of the hunt.
The thoughts I've expressed here were in my most humble opinion. But, ya know . . . after 2 clues I was able to nail down Como Park two years ago. Just ask Jake and Green . . . they were there when I "called" the park. They were on the front steps of the hot-house. And they looked at me like I was totally demented! LOLOL!
MJ, I know what you mean. I have to see for myself that it's not really where I'm looking for it. LOL Green, you say you have a flag? Have you checked underneath it lately. Maybe the medallion's at your house??? :)
Remember the year MomPlanet screwed up ROAYALLY and posted The Clue at like 9:00 PM, and you called McGovern's with it and I gave you HOLY HELL and called you a LIAR?!!!
MJ, there are no 'old times' among The Crueler Crew.
Yust continuing times...
Time's meaningless for those of us that share this passion. Everything but The Hunt falls away here. The Hunt equalizes us all; makes time but a continum with no breaks.
Yes Green . . . you just about came through my cell phone and ripped my head off! But I twasn't lying! Ma Planet had been setting up the clue . . . . and it accidentally posted, and yeppers . . . I snagged it then! It was sooooooo friggen unreal.
Med88, that's sooo cool. And it "was" 459 that we lined it up at too. That was the year that it also rained. Green and I were digging during "office hours" and I had the most fun time I ever had during a hunt. It was then that it became a real obsession. One that I've never been able to shake. Soooo close, but no cigar.

It's like profiling.

MJ, I've had a flag flying here - tanks to my neighbors... - since that day. Snot as big as the PERKINS one, but makes me happy...
Matthew: why the big flag on that corner?
I dunno, Mat-hew...
The PERKINS flag almost drags on the ground, even when flying. BIGGEST, DAMNEDEST thing I've EVER seen in my life!!!

Yes . . . I agree, there are times when it's fun to be demented! Hehehe! I'll BRB . . . need to go to the smoking lounge.
MJ, I know what you mean. I have to see for myself that it's not really where I'm looking for it. LOL Green, you say you have a flag? Have you checked underneath it lately. Maybe the medallion's at your house??? :)
Gal, nope. No Med at *this* house. I checked my BM VERY thoroughly this AM. Nuttin' there.
Though I could have sworn... Quite satisfying, if you get my drift...
Hehehe! It was just a "feeling" I got. Just came over me I guess. We were withing a 100 yards of the medallion too.
Conway had to be the BEST dig though. We were within 100 inches!
MJ, remember us stripping down to our t-shirts at Consay??? GODS, but it was hot!!!
That was a good, fun yeeear. Hunting and clue-wise.
Green!!! ROFLMAO!!!
I've missed you! I'm screaming up here, and of course, LuLu and Paul think I'm hallucinating. It's like old times again!
I've gotta get cranked up here! Get my energies flowing!
Yippee! My favorite Valentine is here!!!!
Hay! MJ!!! We were talkin' here the udder nite...

Finally got here! 300 posts to slog since we left to go check out some theories that didn't check out.
There is NO view of the dome from Harriet Island - but there is from the bridge nearby. Walked that whole park looking for a view to open up.
There are a few - very few people in every park we checked. Amazing how this hunt is going when you consider last year by this time it was over.
Howdy-do, Ms. 'Tine!!!
MJ, I, too, had the bestest time! Because I had another maniac with!!! Gods, but Conway was a great Hunt!!!
That was the year I was 'under the weather' and had to try and get outta TT's 'mobile suit every five minutes!!! PISSED me OFF!!!
ROFLOLPMPCOOSBAGBBOMN!!!
Jake!
For Pete's Sake! Why didn't you say so!!!
This board is so new for me . . . . I don't know everyone yet, or their handles. Gimme time!
Post note . . . . "Nice Joe, MJ!"
hey jake, what was your buddies name across from conway?
Ter, com'on... Ittiz BC or Chair-O-Key! Don't fight it! I know I said it... But, *maybe* one o'these years I mite get it rite! :D
And we checked out the frog in the frogpond. No green earmuffs and nothing up his arse!
Evenin', LL!
hey green! how's the pussies?
:::In a Mango-kinda voice:::: What the Frick!
Geez! Is there anyone else posting under another handle that I might know????
Green . . . arg.... the cranberry juice! Oh, the cranberry juice.
For the view of the dome - I like Cherokee, Mounds, Scheffer and Lewis. I guess I have to save BC too...but that park gives me indigestion.
And WHY would you ASSume *green* muffs, Ter? Hhhhuummm? LOL!!!
Boyd has a view of the dome - but nearby - not right in the park.
Terry V: how about BOyd park for the Dome view?
