When you go to outline, there's a recent option.

On any normal hunt, we'd be waiting for the first clue about now.

OT - Me thinks this is not going to be a normal hunt.

Oh! And Don Boxmeyer was at the Pre-Dig Gig! How cooler is that!?!?!?!?!?!

Marley King - I see you on the who's here list. We missed you this evening. I was sooooo hoping you two would be there.

What was Boxmeyer doing there? Did someone invite him?
Sat, 01/21/2006 - 10:15 PM Permalink
Terry

I'm not sure, but my guess is that someone invited him. It was such a wonderful surprise...and to think he thought enough of all this that he came to be a part of it.

He mentioned that this March it will be 40 years he's been with the Pioneer Press.

And he had heard the story about the earmuffs.

I hear he has written a column in tomorrow's paper about the hunt. Looking forward to reading that.

Terry

Me too. We will have to go out and pick up a paper tomorrow for sure.

That was the plan, I wanted to make sure I feel better when I need to be outside for a while in the coming days.

I hope you do feel better and we get to see you in the parks and the 9th annual rehash bash!

~~This treasure hiding gig is serious business, complicated mightily because you have to stay a step ahead of such black belt hunters as the Camo Crue and the Cooler Crew, highly organized groups who go at their work with almost frightening zeal.~~

Super Cooler seeing everybody earlier tonight!!

I'm sorry I couldn't make it earlier as I'm sure I missed a bunch of people. I'll make a thread and post the park guesses ASAP. I need to get a few things done around here first but your guesses are secure. I need confirmation from both Mappy and New Daddy though. PM me guys.

Being that I showed up later I feel like I was never able to fully blab with most of you the way I wanted to. Hopefully I'll be able to make up for it out at THE park. Cheers to another successful PDG!

If you're talking about "the park" on which I voted, with #31, you gotta deal...

look for me on the ripsaw roller-coaster or whatever... maybe the mighty axe....

Good Morning. Joel's surgery went very well. They went in from the front, and re-set the vertabrae, no need for pins or screws, or nuts or bolts. When he came to, both legs were moving. Thanks for all your prayers and support!

I missed the PDG, I suppose I'll just have to see you in parks!

KT - Glad the surgery went well and the legs were moving. That's a great sign.

And it's only 13.5 hours now before clue number 2 appears online.

Why did the clue come out so early yesterday? I'm assuming the usual time for online clues is going to be midnight?

Hope you all had a good time last night! Sorry we weren't able to come. See you all in the parks!

I have a question...In the separate clue folders, are they just for posting the clue? Or is it possible to have discussion about each clue in it's folder?

Thanks!

Clue Master

Glad to hear the good news KT!

GT - The clue folders will be used for posting the days bullet noodles for that particular clue. 3M has already started compiling them and has host access to those threads for posting them. He'll be taking people's noodles from this board and putting them in that thread to minimize the need for slogging to see what people have already came up with for that particular clue.

So in other words, if you have a noodle for a particular clue, just post it here and it'll get transferred over there. It just won't include all the chatter between the noodles is all.

Thanks 3M for doing this. I'll try to do what I can as well.

Dan has the park and location nailed.

Como. Frog pond.

He said if it's not there, he's not hunting. What a funny man.

Can you photoshop me into the PDG picture? Or creepymona? 'Cause I was there in spirit, you know.

KT, I think that can be done. Me2 was saying they were gonna somehow (stuff I don't understand) get MJ, TT, and LuLu in the group pic.

Where can I read Boxmeyer? I've not been able to find the article on line either. Could/would someone post a link?

Yes, I know I drive folks nutz with my noodling. Known for nine years now.

But I'm still gonna noodle.

Reading my Mappy Gooey book... Found the following. *Not* that I think The Med's gonna be there, in an area like Mappy mentions, possibly.

Re: Hillcrest...

"This park is located next to the Highland Park Shopping Center on Ford Pkwy.

Many shops and restaurants close by."

Made me think o'the swarming Hunters and not being able to park.
Sun, 01/22/2006 - 10:32 AM Permalink
green

You know... Continuing along the swarm/hard to park thighy... Kellogg Park. Talk about swarms and hard to park!

And sufficient ice (but I'm missing snow...) could be Xcel. Nah. That boat don't float. Gotta be ice *and* snow.

Wicked Nick

this may have been posted already, but where are they doing the snow and ice sculpting at?

seems like they move one of those things to someplace else, every year...
Sun, 01/22/2006 - 10:39 AM Permalink
green

Isn't usually at Rice, Nick? Seems to me thass where ittiz every year, but I may be mistaken. And who's to say they can't/couldn't move to another park?

Did I read/hear they weren't going to do the sculptures this year due to the Global Warming? Or am I dreaming...
Sun, 01/22/2006 - 10:42 AM Permalink
Wicked Nick

oh... yeah...

now that you mention it, I think I may have heard that about them not being able to get the blocks from Phalen for the ice sculpting, because its been too warm...

heh...

okay... scratch that Idea, then....

my original thought, was that maybe it was referring to wherever they were doing that stuff at...
Sun, 01/22/2006 - 10:48 AM Permalink
green

So this year Rice is fair game when that's not been the case in years past...

Global Warming is keeping the sculpting away, and folks swarm all over Rice, and where's there to park?
Sun, 01/22/2006 - 10:50 AM Permalink
green

Oh. Thanks, THX. Guess Rice is still off limits again.
