Clue #1 You've joined the hunt for the regal runt
To prove searching does pay
Don't dig a hole or knock down a pole
And the golf course is out of play
Last year Jake took home the cake
With a clue a bit off level
This year we'll rinse off all our prints
Lest this hunt go to the devil
Clue #2 The point of all this is so that you won't miss
Your big chance to grab all the cash
Now gather your guys and a gal who is wise
You'll have to do something quite rash
Clue #3 We've scanned the county to hide our bounty
And keep you on your toes
It may sound risible, but our puck's invisible
Although it might just stick to your nose.
Clue #4 How fun is the snow how far will we go
You really ought to go see
Get up for the mission and not just the wishin'
Get into the game-it's all free
Clue #5 There once was a clue that drove you-know-who
To threaten a heinous act
We'd use it again but we're afraid of his pen
My friend, that's an unfortunate fact
Clue #6 All ye who look should honor the book
As one who stood for hope
Much was built in the name of the kilt
Look sharp now and never mope
Clue #7 If you should go look high then low
One could see it from a bower
If it's your bent you might seek a tent
To protect in case of shower
Take note of the wood and do what you should
To extract the prize for yourself
Build a bridge to your dreams as high as they seem
Leave nothing behind on the shelf
Clue #8 Look at the buck to acquire good luck
In finding the grail this year
Link a jar,a line, a star lawyer divine
While crying in your beer
He won, then lost and the nation was tossed
Into strife that was far from civil
The point I'm making is yours for the taking
Believe me - not the message board drivel
Clue #9 This name brings tears, elation and cheers
And occasionally even outrages
It sits on walls and rides the halls
And fills a dozen pages
The hills are alive and you'll have arrived
Refrain from the very injurious
Be bold and be brave but your skin you must save
What's off-limits should frankly be obvious
Clue #10 Look for the sight you hope is just right
You're doubtful and you're torn
Make the rounds for what rhymes with grounds
And part of a rose with a horn
Through flames and flow this park where you'll go
Is the site of sacred relics
Stay away from these and the cliffs if you please
Or you'll be in a heckuva fix
Clue #11 Air and river sounds lead all to Mounds
Far from the graves take your entourage
Twixt Burns and Thorn, an icy pathway is born
Across Mounds from a gray house and tan garage
Hell no fury hath as those on the wrong path
Mounds and Warner form a woodsy perimeter
The path not official contains footprints beneficial
Some 300 trudges in - quest for a quitter
This trail you must follow goes down a narrow hollow
Under a fallen tree to an old rusted drum
From here you must search for a hillside path perch
Wherein lies the center of fun

After a weekend of moving - I got caught up! HA!@
Back to the puck, though. Its been in Dakota County at least once (Marthaler).
They only said they searched THE county, not which one.
I still think "the" golf course is intentional. Like there should be one to stay off of.

The boy's and girl's name McKenna \m(c)-kenna, mck(en)-na\ is pronounced ma-KEN-ah. It is of Scottish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "ascend".
Now a look to the buck, and the name of the kilt...if only there was a McKenna Park on Washington...I'll check that with Ian, he gets around a bit...perhaps he's heard of such a thing...
I would have thought that Icesis would have already found it if that was the case.
ZING!!
Thought about the rail(ing)s being in halls, but that doesn't fit the rest of this.
The deal is we have to find that one name. I'm noodling this to death and can't find the common denominator.
I'm also really quite confused about the rides the halls line. What rides the halls? Those anoying roller shoes kids wear?
I'll see both of you in a bit as well. Now I know where to go and meet up.

For the record, I'm sold on Mounds now (even though I was too stupid to figure out the clue last night at the paper), I don't really care what anyone else says or thinks. If I'm wrong, feel free to tell me "I told you so". If I'm right, I'm sure the ones that think I'm wrong will just gripe about the cluewriter...
Been thinking about what that might mean, and how all the clues seem to lead all over... So, here goes this one, all the clues do lead all over, they lead to various parks. The common theame surrounding the parks (here is where I might need some help) they have trails in/around/through them. Specifically what I think might sit on walls (maps) ride the halls (??) and fills a dozen pages.
I pulled out an old Husdon Map (2005) anybody have a newer one. Anyway, when I looked at two trails the Gatway, and Veinto/Munger, then started to count the number of pages that the Gateway went, I came up with ten (does this now extend to the end of the map book, two more pages would be 12)... I think it does, but can't confirm with my old map, so perhaps that is the twelve pages. Which makes me think this thing is NOT in a park, but rather along a trail, I am thinking perhaps the Gateway.
I think these two trails meet, and then "bent" and go seperate ways. It looks like the Gateway ends near Gillette, but again my map is old and it may extend further now, and the other end meets the Ramsey County line on Century Ave.
What's off limits, and obvious, would that be to at least stop at the county line, don't cross Centry ave.?
So, that is my thought, but still trying to figure out which end, if one or the other, and if that is even a reasonable noodle...
My two cents, and now I should get back to work.
How Kirby Puckett fits anything, no idea. Just a noodle I came up with.
I'm just not a big fan of people elluding something to the fact of "I know something you don't know, nah nah nah nah nah nah!".
Don't mind me.. I'm just tired and sore that I've been all over the place for the last week or so, heh.
This name brings tears, elation and cheers
And occasionally even outrages
It sits on walls and rides the halls
And fills a dozen pages
Doesn't a child fit all of these?
What I was thinking..
This name brings tears, elation and cheers
And occasionally even outrages
It sits on walls and rides the halls
And fills a dozen pages
A memory, perhaps? Just trying to find something that fits all of these...
There is a Memory Lane that intersects with Polaris Ct (for clue 5), but it's at a very small park that I don't even know the name of.
Conrad, I am NOT a nutcase. I just had to leave. Please understand.
No worries! I plan on taking Tony with for a few more years-what an EYE that kid has!
The pleasure was mine! I'm sure you will make lots of new friends here and have a great time. Glad you joined us.
Drove through Harriet Island, Cherokee, Douglas Park and Prospect on my way home, just because they're all in the same area and on my route home....kinda. Some people at Harriet, fewer at Cherokee and no one at the other two. Imagine that. I did see quite a few cars parked at the entrance to Bruce Vento Trail off of E. 7th near Arcade though.
Saw Jake and Mr. Med Hunter going to or fro at Obbs.
