I still think the Fey-Palin anogram is a good one. But I still feel it may be too early for a park to be given but yet again, its the obvious spots that we don't look in- meaning its a longer hunt even if they told us a park.
"Our Thoughts (PP): Says not to even consider looking at a park with a golf course. Past years have indicated that you're at the right park when a golf course is mentioned, but this year it says you're "at the wrong scene" altogether if you start digging at Highland, Phalen, or Como, for starters. There's also a "No Golfing" sign on one of the backstops at Conway."
Based on this by the PP, the fact that this years first clue says "fore" indicates a golf course either at the park or nearby.
P Press didn't do very good job re: posting rules and out of bounds locations this year.....but Saint Paul Parks & Rec has recently posted the following:
Medallion hunters need to follow these rules/restrictions if searching in Saint Paul's parks:
- All Saint Paul Parks are closed from 11 p.m. to sunrise.
- The Medallion CANNOT be in the following parks/locations due to surface and turf restrictions:
- Rice Park and Landmark Plaza
- Como Park Zoo & Conservatory
- Phalen, Highland National, Highland 9 or Como Golf Courses
- Under the artificial field turf at McMurray
- Under the refrigerated outdoor skating rinks at Phalen or North Dale
Folks who violate these rules/restrictions are subject to a citation.
the mystery.... that cement labyrinth maze at Como. Years ago I wondered about this and I remember googling it and finding them made across the world - kinda reminded me of something out of crop circles and the movie Independence Day...but can't remember what it was called again...not much known about it other than it's a labyrinth....
all points bulletin: just saw a tow truck at the lower part of bc on our way dt. Not sure what the story is but if you know someone out there you may want to call them!
I went sledding as a kid at Wakefield Park in Maplewood, on a steep hill along Prosperity. There's a more gentle hill at Casey Park in N.St.Paul. Casey also has a hill along the hockey rink, One year we had alot of snow and we built a jump/ramp up the side of the hockey boards and would land on the ice rink. Man, we sure were more flexible then. We also iced the hill and went skating down it.
Where is this posted, and why this year are they enforcing park closures? Gosh I can see it now, last clue, police tape all over the park with the swat team and pepper spray, and that will be one hell of a foot race once sunrise comes.
OK green so let's discuss Chair-O-Key then, shall we?
1st clue "now at rest" anagrams to "on Water St" - the only viable anagram I've seen posted yet Upfront -riverfront connection
"Water and Ice" - Water St. and Curtice St.
"glorious" = "joy" ave.? possible
Everything we see was done naturally - Bruce Vento Nature Scenic Overlook at Cherokee
Sports - tennis, basketball, etc
beasts exposed - going by the logic of past hunts and clues, this could be referring to the Nature overlook, where I'm sure you could find beasts exposed somewhere
detention - jail seen from Cherokee? you could see the old jail, but I don't know about the new one
I know I'm missing some things, this is just off the top of my head
but as usual, my idea sucked and it was put in the box with the rest that dont make sense....
still does to me....
I can't get ths stupid earworm out of my head..... "Larry-ho ho ho ho ho ho ho, he's a vegeterian, Larry-ho, Larry-ho"

Todays clue says Como

The name of the book was....
Tales Of Fire and Ice.
That year it was in Tony Schmidt park :ooh:
Anyone tie this to Mounds and the airplane beacon yet?
Ironically there is a Chippewa (something) Company at the bottom of the street Montreal. Kinda down by Pearson candy Co.
Phew... I can easily have these clues fit 4 different parks. :barf: :crying:
you can see the sign Landmark from Cherokee.
Or where oh where has it gone
With it's translucent beauty
And it's snowflake image
Oh where oh where can it be
A park is the spot but a golf course is not,
So please don't disturb a fairway or green.
Follow this advice and you won't be caught
Wasting your time at the wrong scene.
