that wasnt davids hunt it was 2006 BC hunt. They found the med the next morning. I woke up, heard it was found, and went back to bed. I remember you and Brad were up for the press conference, dont know how you guys did that...I finally made it up and met the kids at the park with you guys after the press conference.
I did some scouting (instead of working) for a bit this afternoon.
I think with the references in this last clue to jogging (paths), walking dogs(paths), riding a bike(paths) and exercising the kids (playground), that Como, Phalen, Newell, Conway and others are in the running. So going through Como, the playground on the West Picnic grounds is fenced off and there is work - or was work going on there. The large swing set though is still out in the open.
I know lots of people walk their dogs through Newell, and there is the playground, but I don't know if there are enough paths for jogging and bike riding. Same could be said for Conway.
I didn't get to Phalen today, but that will be another day or not - depending on tonight's clue.
Yeah, I think jogging, bike riding and walking your dog could honestly be made to fit any park. Sorta like "Duh! that's what people DO at parks". Maybe if you just boil all those terms down you just get "Park. It's in a Park".
Around the main part of the park, around the bridges and such. There are big piles of dirt and orange fences. I think even one of the main bridges is closed off. I was there on Sunday morning but left right away when I saw it because I really doubt they would hide it there with construction around the main part of the park.
I'm tending to lean to the larger parks along the river for now. Which means that I can afford to wait for a more detailed clue. That's about the only thing I can afford. :frown: :frown:
You've got Bing Crosby and a potential nod to Virginia Dale (Lilydale) across the river to go with Happy Holidays.
Lots of parks have things to do in the winter that you can't do in the summer, but Lilydale and Crosby both have ice climbing, which you need a permit to do. Permits are valid Nov-Mar, meaning you are literally "forbidden" from climbing in the summer. (There is no rock climbing anytime of year.)
There are Crosby, Stills, and Nash references in past Crosby clues. This may be a reach, but i was thinking lyrics: "And if you can't be, with the one you love, HONEY--love the one your with."

Re: it being in BC/Maplewood
Maybe the "crueler crew" whose "barbs have stung" the hunt organizers is the Maplewood City Council or whoever the party poopers are over there
I want it to be Crosby but I'm swaying to BC -
for all the same reasons - man, a lot of ground to cover though - HOLY!
HOLY GOD I forgot how big that park is!
Turned out to be so very wrong"
I wonder if this could mean that the park pointed to in the song "Happy Holidays" is wrong. That could be the Red Herring.
found this by accident~~~ BC last year!

I will poke around there tomorrow unless something pulls me away with clue 4.
