CONGRATULATION MUCLUCK AND ICEMAN!!!
They found the treasure at Hazel Park Recreation Center, after clue #9, under a bench located behind ball field #3. A magnet was used to secure the bag with the treasure under the bench.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
My hunt kicked off on friday, May 9th at Obbs Bar at Mounds Park. Clues will be realeased at 8am daily until found.
I asked for $5 registrations to go towards the total pot and I will kick in an extra $25. If the finder is not registered they will only receive 1/2 the pot. Any leftover money will be given to the winner of the next hunt that takes place.
The pot is $120
Clue 1/Fri
The hunt is on, now go find the treasure
All you have to do is follow the hint
I hope you have fun and find some pleasure
St Paul's the place with the mint
Clue 2/Sat
Look for a place that has a newer face
and you may measure up the winner
Just locate the courts and places to play
and don't wreck it, just look for dinner
Clue 3/Sun
If you like southern rock you may have heard uneasy rider
Wasn't he on a yamaha?
All I know is he wanted to go from St Paul to Chicago
via Omaha?
Clue 4/Mon
Some like country and some like soul
the harder the better I say
So think of the stones, they wont be alone
if you can't get no satisfaction today
Clue 5/Tue
You'll need a vessel if you want to travel
like they did back in time
For the end of the road is dirt and gravel
and here you'll see the rhyme
If when you get there, you run out of tar
you should turn around
Because if you did this you oughta know
you just went a bridge too far
Clue 6/Wed
When you get hungry just have a picnic
there is no chicken or corn
Just find a sandwich and a place to grill
because it has been reborn
Imagine brown trout and picture the water
as you think of Kinnickinnic
Just go nuts and run to the border
and soon you will be liking it
Clue 7/Thu
If you can't find it, dont get on me for it
ask Peppermint Patty or Charlie Brown
If you figure this clue, you will be in luck
and soon you will not frown
Clue 8/Fri
To find it is tricky, you might need
a lawyer to make your case
But all you really have to do
is line up and look for a base
Clue 9/Sat
Another opportunity to find the way
is to play with virtual lives
Add a vehicle and a boy in the netherlands
and see where they might arrive
THE FINDERS!!!
Clue 10/Sun
Think of a school and think of a playground
they're both in this neighborhood
If you can figure the three together
you should be feeling good
I'm sure by now your looking for something
that will give you names
One I'd try is William Leonard
and his wife Helen Ames
Clue 11/Mon
Hazel and Case might be the place
if you look with a certain zeal
If you locate the prize, you may be surprised
and you might let out a squeal
Clue 12/Tue
Go to the place at Hazel and Case
and run to the southern border
Look for the rock and look at the base
and then you'll win in short order
You wont need a wrench to look under the bench
and find the prize you desire
Just give me a call and let me know
and the money you will acquire

harder than country and soul = Rock
think of the stones = rolling
so Rock and Roll(ing)?
first thought is Rolling hills (but nothing else gives me hills)
or a rock on rolling or Rolling Rock beer
I see a drinking and music theme here
R&R = railroad too
harder than country and soul and the type of band that the Rolling Stones are so KISS says = just look for a ROCK
I'm thinking big rock
You'll need a vessel if you want to travel
like they did back in time

I like the clues. My wife doesn't care much for them, but what does she know, LOL
j/k

The other one I'm thinking of would be cool but not sure on the places to play and yet another one that fits even better is actually just outside the city limits
Kinnickinnic is an Ojibwa word which literally means "what is mixed," referring to the mixing of indigenous plants and tobaccos. Often called Milwaukee's forgotten river, it is the smallest within the Milwaukee River Basin, yet is the most urbanized and densely populated.
I thought the kinni was closer...like river falls area....
yep it is...ah the hell with it ...
Fort Snelling?
Picnic Island is in Mendota
Theres an anagram there somewhere
...if they've had their shots!
We'd go over to their house and watch a movie or play a video game, and the little yapper would jump at our feet and never shut up. We'd grab him and give him a toss across the room at the back of the sofa.
He must've been part cat because he almost always hit the couch feet first. Then he'd run back to our feet and continue his yapping. It usually took about four or five throws before he'd be dizzy enough to calm down. I don't think he ever had the sense to understand we were annoyed by him.
If you can't find it, dont get on me for it
ask Peppermint Patty or Charlie Brown

hmm
Thanks for catching that OT.
the only ppatty I can think of is the one in Rice Park
there is a bronze Charlie Brown in Shultz park kitty korner from Rice Park. you can eat and luncheon in the park and I guess the kids could play at the Science Museum a block away or the Childrens Museum a block the other way but I don't exactly like that. I do like the Courts near by - technically the Landmark Center WAS a courthouse back in the days. But a tar path and dirt path idea really don't work for me here as does anything easy rider - cept the Yamaha could be a stretch as that park once stood a piano store.
One or 2 clues make work beautifully there but others just don't feel right.
don't remember what St. Peter and 6th St are.
Think St Peter is brick
I'm saying Highland... Charles Schultz significance, and the Pearson's candy reference
