AW - I couldn't remember if this was asked before or not but were the clues all wrote beforehand or some on the fly?

All but the last clue were written before the hunt started. Clue #12 I just got around to writing a few days ago.

AW - Oh, the final clue.

I interpreted the word 'last' 2 of the 3 ways it could of been taken.

Nice clue tonight though. Best yet.

Thanks

I don't really feel like cooking. I think I'm going to go out and grab some food so I'll be away from the computer for a bit. Shouldn't be gone long though.

I like all the street name references, even if their off a bit:

Sherwood, Forest, Earl, Frost, Idaho, LCL, Maryland, Wheelock, Phalen, Mendota...

OK, I'll ask... What's up doc?

As long as it's still out there, you're not too late. And thanks.

I got on the best tangent tonight. A sure sign that I am in to it.

I ended up in a Volley Ball Court(would this be considered Bumpy?) Next to a street with no name. Across from a green stone wall. Next to a street with the same name as a brand of water. It went well with the tiny deadbolt as well.

I cant figure out the sparrows and barrows and pharohs thing.

I haven't been in here much. Why is Sun capitilized in the first clue?

Good Evening!

My noodler is exhausted and needs fixin'!

It's still out there, you twicky wabbit. Because I haven't found it yet. But, I know where I'm gonna look. RC and I saw MK and ATH tonight while we were scouting about.

I went all through Como tonight coming and going while life was getting in my way...and didn't see anyone.

I got all excited when I realized that Victoria also met up with Maryland and Wee lock at the one end of Como Lake.

Now I read the clue and it's Phalen or not Phalen...and time to get that exhausted system fixed.

And here I thought you had seen the big "W" Frosti? But no luck finding it eh? We're getting to the point now where the only thing that will determine how long the hunt goes is how well it's hidden.

There was a great lone tree on a hill with a stone wall across from a water fountain at a place I had never heard of before. Sue's Park on Maryland and Payne.

Frosti - I thought I saw the 'big W' in the letters LCL but it's last palm tree was more of a pine. :(

terry, there's no doubt in my mind that its at phalen. none.

Ares - I believe you're right - but I hadn't seen the clue when I was driving around back and forth tonight.

doesn't sound all that crazy to me, robrt.

Ares - You feeling better? I was freezing all day today. The building where I work is often a little chillier than normal, but it seemed like an ice box today until later afternoon. For a bit I thought I was getting something.

Somehow, I thought that there was too much traffic there. Everywhere else down there seems to lack water. I tried by the tennis courts but the traffic down there was worse and there was NO water down there.

I wasn't actually looking, it was just a drive-by. We were on our way to dinner with my parents. I'm still at their house in the land of 28.8, waiting for runningchick to get back from her errands so we can go home, put the kids to bed, and decide if I'm going out tonight.

I saw the big W today at work before #9 came out, and #9 didn't change my mind. I spent the whole bus ride home convincing myself that I hadn't seen the big W. The specific spot I wanted to look at has a shortage of fir trees around it. I'm trying to decide if that matters to me or not.

oh yeah, ter. about 45 minutes or so after i fell asleep last nite, i was awakened by the sound of a siren up the road. no idea where it stopped. the benadryl with the acetominophen was starting to work its magic as i woke up in a nice sweat. fever broken.

so naturally i took advantage of it and made my way out to phalen with me2, camoterry, tmk. probably didn't do myself any good, cuz my head felt the same way it did in im last nite. it was getting less stuffy when i got back to work. so i cured *that* by going out to como with me2 tonite.

I don't recall seeing any horseshoe pits at Phalen. I was looking earlier and didn't see any mentioned in THG either.

I just heard rc come in the door, so I'm off! Maybe I'll see you tonight. Maybe I'll stay in.

Great picture ClueMaster. It seems to be the right size. Should just be a matter of saving it to your hard drive, then going to preferences and uploading it.

Mon, 02/25/2002 - 12:04 PM Permalink
Clue Master

It's in Bitmap format and it won't let me reformat it for some reason

Mon, 02/25/2002 - 12:05 PM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Perhaps when you go to save it to your hard drive, you need to make sure at the bottom of that window that it's saving it as a .jpg and not .bmp The original is a .jpg so it should save as one.

Hmmmm, I see Dal online. Give up hunting for today?

Thanks for the info. The pull down only allows it ot be saved as a bitmap. I'll try the Paint workaround.
Here's more info on it..

Of the four palm trees that were planted to form the 'W' only one remained when the laserdisc documentary was edited. New visitors to the park, we are told, often say they feel as if 'they've been there before', even if they can't remember the MAD WORLD connection.

Spooky - get a shovel

CM - I just managed to save that picture here as a jpg file. Odd that your putter won't let you save it in the format it's found in. Hmmmmmmm

Ter - Your save dropdown had a .jpg option I take it?
