Plus $25 if the finder is someone who chipped into the pot which makes for a potential prize of $85 plus the lager set so far. So am I missing anything or anyone so far?
I figure I will collect the money by the start of the hunt, either at Fern's, via Paypal, or some other method. For now I just want to get an idea of what to expect so I can have a guess at what the prize will be. Looks like $165 in cash now, (not including the movie ticket money) plus maybe $145 in prizes (not sure how much the lager set is valued at but it looks pretty cool). Assuming I've not heard from everyone yet, I'm going to guess we're looking at a prize worth maybe $400 right now.
Hopefully that will make it worth what I'll be putting you through. Mwah ha ha ha. This hunt won't be easy, but I feel confident it's doable by most people. I will assure you that the person who figures out the clues first/best will be the one to find it.

and as far as any issues of not paying up? we have always done it this way with for the most part no problems- once in a great while someone has had to wait to get some of the money - I know of 2 incidences and I think both paid up eventually-which was nice.
the only thing I know of right now, from past mock hunts, that has not been recieved is the quilt I owe Mucky. I have the material together but havnt had the time and drive. sorry Mucky-I am getting on it.
I've always done pay pal untill now because I'll be at ferns to drop the stuff off with AW. If not I will send a paypal and drop off the yagermeister stuff in person to who ever wins.

If you look at past hunts of mine, there's always been at least a theoretical possibility of finding it on the first clue. So you do have a shot at finding it in the first week.
So it looks like I have 17 potentially registered hunters so far and cash and prizes at an estimated $335 including both actual and pledged, plus another $25 if the finder is registered. Looks like it will be a pretty good prize without relying on any one person to donate a big amount. Maybe this model will work for future hunts too.
Im broke as hell, cause my job sucks, and I dont get enough hours, so I cant pledge alotta money.... I'd chip in something like 25 cents, or a buck, or somethin... lol, but I dont want to just come right out and say "Yo! Im cheap, over here!!"
so instead, I'll just pledge, my support, and applause for whoever finds it (if its not me, that is)... oh yeah... and I also offer to help spend whatever cash, the finder doesnt know what to do with. :)
