not only the tunnel of terror (the ticket booths for it are sitting right at the entrance to the cave, even), but the clowns are quite certain that as a whole, crosby is haunted.

Do any of these men have 'heart'?

Has anyone actually walked south of the firepit on those trails?
When Ares & I were out at C(r)osby yesterday I never even thought about those trails -I was more concerned about the lake/pond area.

methinks only a crazy fool (marley) would walk the trails at crosby :) and since marley is such a crazy fool......

but what is the "new sport" at crosby?

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:14 AM Permalink
me2

I really liked Hidden yesterday morning but after walking through most of zones 2,3,4 I hated it-what a terrible place to hide it-we almost walked all the way to Crosby but didn't.

Hey! The Sioux Indians stayed down below Fort Snelling (it is in my Ft Snelling history book! which covers the Crosby area!! there are pictures of them in teepees.

Is anyone else hunting? It seams like there is really not that many people posting and I am in here alone once again :(

I am me2. I just don't have much to add. I am stumped so far. Crosby is probably my favorite though.

TIM! HI! I am not alone!

I don't know of any newer sports besides the frisbeegolf -hate to say it that Highland could still be on the 'list'! but KIDS mentioned the new sport of the year being either treasure hunting or geocaching

I'm here too. Just noodling to myself off-line. I do think that there will be some steps nearby if that helps.

tim_the_hunter

so you checked out hidden falls and crosby? what did crosby have that hidden falls didnt?

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:22 AM Permalink

good noodle on steps

I was just wondering about that---is 2-steppin' like square dancin'?

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:24 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I'm hoping it's not at Crosby. Something still says Highland to me. Maybe because the way it's hidden sounds very similar to the way it was hidden at Highland in 68.

crosby has crosby lake.

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:24 AM Permalink
me2

what did crosby have that hidden falls didnt?

Crosby had A LAKE! and more like dirt trails than paths.

The "What lies beneath" got me to HiddenFalls in the first place cause Harrison FORD is in that movie and Harrison FORD is an advocate for Earth Day!

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:27 AM Permalink
me2

oh yeah, didn't FORD come after Eisenhower? or am I mistaken?

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:28 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Ford Came after Nixon, many lears after Eisenhower, though Nixon was Eisenhower's VP.

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:29 AM Permalink
me2

ah yes, covered the Nixon Watergate thing I think yesterday morning - thanks for the refresher AW

Just to recap...

Clue 8:
This one is more than a two-stepper
I do mean this from the heart
So find a man as funny as himself
To get an early smart start

Our coin has been out there
Since the beginning of time it seems
It's been out there so long
It's haunting my dreams

Clue 7:
Here but a course not in view
Is it a lake or a pond?
Follow the trails south on your pursue
And you too could scream YA MON!

Clue #6
If you see some trash, throw it away
For Earth Day is Everyday
But don't be rash, it's slow to discover
What lies beneath camo ground cover

Clue 5:

Four, maybe more
Lurking with the name the same
Inside around and through
Plod to find which
Is in the game
Top to a bottom you

Clue 4:

You say you can't win in a court
And that you don't like hockey
Well think of a new sport
`N stay out of the sand Disc Jockey

Clue 3:

Not Eisenhower, but readjusted, a 5 and a 3
O.K. now a 4 and a 2 then 0
Three you should see
Even before you're the hero

Clue #2

People as you glance around
Use your rake, search like a ferret
Cause its right there on the ground
Kelly's treasure you will inherit

Clue 1

Every State has one
Around ours you'll do just fine
So to be the Jedi son
You'll have to look for a park sign

isn't there some kind of breakfast meal called smart start in the grocery store? or am I thinking of something else?

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:36 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

You'll have to look for a park sign

A St. Paul Highland Park [neighborhood] sign?

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:37 AM Permalink
me2

I actually eat Smart Start once in a while -good stuff :)

I don't know of any comdians who eat/promote that stuff though.

HI LL!

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:39 AM Permalink
Liquor Lady

hi me2! I was actually thinking maybe thats what it's hidden in though.

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:40 AM Permalink
me2

with that clue AW I was thinking

Parkway originally

For Highland Parkway
or Ford Parkway

cause the word PARK would be on the st sign.

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:41 AM Permalink
me2

COOL idea LL -but the other clue said if you see trash throw it away.
What about being under or wrapped in a camoflauge "army" fabric

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:44 AM Permalink
Clue Master

Good noodle LL. I'm sure that's what it's hidden in. ;-)

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 8:45 AM Permalink

ya, I guess he wouldn't say throw it away if it was in trash.

is tim hunter and AW still here?

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 9:05 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I'm pretty sure what we're dealing with is some sort of hole/divot/crevice in the ground, and Marley has made a covering for it and on the top of the covering he's attached grass, sticks, or whatever to make it seem like just a regular patch of ground. To find the prize you need to "flip it". What I'm not quite clear on is if the coin is hidden in a piece of trash under this covering, or if the piece of trash is attached to the covering and is a sort of marker for it.

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 9:08 AM Permalink
tim_the_hunter

I am, I am. Stumped I tell you.

Good 'flip it' idea AW

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 9:10 AM Permalink
me2

well maybe that is how the smart start idea comes into play-with the in trash idea under the ground

I thought the 'beneath' or ground idea makes me think its LOW or like hidden and crosby- low -below or hidden -he has said its HIDDEN good-

Wasn't Jerry Seinfeld playing himself on the show Seinfeld? Therefore he was as funny 'as himself'?

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 9:14 AM Permalink
me2

thought of the flip idea as soon as I saw the clue was- at Highland the horseshoes-#1 you flip a reshe #2 there are divits everywhere and I swore I thought he hid it in one of those but I didnt look in all of them due to frisbees overhead!

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 9:16 AM Permalink

Seinfeld = ends life

By a place where someone committed suicide? I've felt that way after a bad game of golf. ;-(

seinfeld anagrams to ends life.

Mon, 05/19/2003 - 10:02 AM Permalink

What Lies Beneath (get your scuba gear for the lake at Crosby)
there was a death in that movie AND ghosts - werent we talking about something spooky there?
maybe thats where it is?

i have determined the puck location. it is on the windy hill leading up the bluff to "chez me2". "not eisenhower but" anagrams to "between ohio's turn". ohio is that winding hill!
