just came back from the coon rapids thread and whoever
"excavating stud" is, he posted the clue like 2-3 hours before it came out and then popped online just a little bit ago to see if anyone thought that it was odd that he had the clue before hand.
what a joke, it kinda ruins the hunting spirit for that hunt that some group may even have all the clues? guess I'll have to wait for the mock hunt and get taunted by AW.

ExSt must work for ----- either City of CR or Snowflake sponsor or be a relative of a committe member to get the clue ahead of time.
Both catagories are restricted from winning or else he would have been over at the park picking up the prize.

I am assuming it is found by now -- I never made it back over there to see.

Yeah whats up with the early clue from E S and then the late clue from CR!
When I seen that clue this morning I thought yeah right always someone who post a fake clue! Then when the clue was late.I decide to go to work ! But stopped by the firestaion and park first! When I walked in to the firestation it was 1:30 and they were just putting the clue up! "mike was just here with the clue"
Then I went to the park. Off course the whole south fench of the park by the six pines was all dug up already! But I went through it again.Seen about 20 people there while I was out there!Going back for a little while now!
Just got of the phone with jake still people at the park!

(hopefully it was not found today and not turned in yet!)
Never Give Up!!
Peace

I'm calling mostly to check on the hunt status......
Get ES to front us another clue today

Troublemaker?!? Me?!? -- wonder where I learned it from?
BTW -- I am bringing along a geo-cache to stick in the spot ;-)
Isn't that what troublemakers do?? I will *monopolize* that park before the day is through!

Well, I might have to go get a few groceries this morning too....LOL

Funny about Rainbow screwing up the clues, because when I went there to register - they never even heard of a medallion hunt. They sold me a button, but didn't know about any other form.
Snowflake committee ought to get their act together and do like the PP does and post at only one spot (on time!) to avoid mix ups like that. Heck -- Mike ought to just bring it on down to the park at noon, save us all some time.

Circle your wagons = WF bank .......... but which one?

I agree, this medallion hunt is really really messed up!
Maybe it really is in another park? They only want you to *think* it is in Twin -- it has secretly been moved, in the dark of night to...........

I think tim ment to say unless marley or centris find it! ; > )

No really-- Tim is Part of the "CoolerCrew search team"--Along with all the other CoolerHeads!

I knew that! It was a joke Tim & Marley -- (this is why I was only throwing a wet mitten and not something worse - *grin*) Maybe Marley gets a wet mitten too for not knowing I was kidding.

I am headed out right now -- finally got the kids off to school and put a roast dinner in the crock pot, so I am good to go today until 5ish. I hope our noon clue is on time today.

I am amazed it was not found with all the people out there yesterday.

The Medallion has BEEN FOUND!

No joking!

Pictures of it in minutes!

I was standing right there!

Dammit!!

tim_the_hunter

that sucks. it was a rigged hunt anyway. now lets go get the puck posse coin (if it is still out there).

Fri, 02/14/2003 - 11:59 AM Permalink
Centris

Probably right after I left to go get the clue ---- !@#$ (which I had to WAIT 20 minutes after the scheduled posting time to get!)

.......... and yes I do think this hunt is rigged in some way. They really need to run it more like the WC hunt.
This one has way too many people and sponsors who either know the clues ahead of time, or don't know anything. Should be run by ONE guy, one place to get the clues, one place to register, etc.

Yeah kinda tim!! They need not bring the clue to the firestation, cub, rainbow ect... THE NIGHT BEFORE THE CLUE COMES OUT!!

But none of that mattered!

He found it where people were looking! But most people dont look very good! They think it is going to drop out of a tree into there hands or something! And there was alot of un-TOUCHED snow where he found it!For a SMALL part of the park which had looked like a herd of cows went through.
NEVER GIVE UP!!
Next year this one is mine!

Fri, 02/14/2003 - 12:11 PM Permalink
Centris

My predictions - next year will be found in -- Lions Park or Erlandson, maybe Pheasant ridge.

I am going to get a job at Rainbow or Cub next year so I can have all the clues before anyone else and make very sure the clues get posted to the general public as late as possible. (good strategy, eh?)
Then I will allow Marley, Tim and ES to admire it after it's MINE!!!!!

I will say I had fun though!

Met around 10 new hunters, Learned some new things about Coon Rapids History and did some really cool ass late night digging! (the moon the stars and some northern lights)

All good things one should get to injoy while hunting!

That's it, right there, Marley. Now if we can convince them to change a few things ?

Artemis The Huntress

Maybe we can convince CR to let Marley run the hunt, he is a home town boy after all, show em how its done!

(Oops, he might want to find it first before he'd want to write the clues)
