I wonder if that means that they sent a spotter out, to make sure it was still there?
Somebody probably claimed it as a keeper....
15 clues though... damn!
You'd figure that after a while they'd say enough is enough, and just end the hunt..... what if they post this "last clue" and it still isnt turned in?
This was the most aggrivating hunt ever- clues sucked and Becksie and my truck sucked up too much gas to get there as many times as we went out there. :frown:
Thanks all. I was afraid that it was found already by the time i got out there, but since Jake was still out there I figured it was still there. There were a few other people digging around there, but they were digging in the wrong areas. I figured it was near the curb, since that word was used and it seemed strange as a landmark. I guesstimated what the shadow of the stop sign would be around 4 o clock, and then tried to line it up with a tree. It didn't line up totally right, but it was good enough. There was a lot of snow torn up, but I went at it all the way to the grass because I knew the clue said to dig deep. I liked the area from when I was out yesterday looking around.
I dug in a few different ways. I was digging away from the curb, but stopped doing that. I decided to dig more along the curb, down towards where Jake was. Jake said he was going to go get warmed. I laughed to myself that it should be me going to get warm, because when AW's hunt was in Phalen, I went to warm up and get something to eat, leaving Jake and Donny behind, and they ended up finding it by the time I got back. I just kept kicking snow with my boots until I saw a piece of plastic bag sticking out. I knew that it was it. I could only see about 1/4 of the bag, if that, but I knew it was it. It was one of those plastic bags they have at SA or Holiday. The snow was hard and packed down. There was a bit underneath, but a fair amount on top of it. I picked it out, and it was big and round in shape. I started walking to the car as I was unwrapping it. Jake saw me coming, got out of his car, asked if I had it and I said yeah. He was a bit upset, but he was in the right area at least and would have found it eventually if I hadn't been out there. I've emailed the woman and am now waiting to hear back from her about turning it in!
He hasn't offered, he had my rake. The snow in the area was too hard to kick with boots, although he was about 10 feet down from where I was. Pictures coming....

The Last and Final, Final Clue:
If we make some concessions and you look to the east
You must curb your enthusiasm at the very least.
Then with all your heart you should dig deep,
for the second searcher there is truly going to weep.
With the tracks an arrows flight away,
someone will find the treasure today.
Bummer of a hunt!
FINALLY!

Kids was wearing Jake's boots?
looks like a cardboard behind the plastic?
