Hey Kitch. How have you been doing on the da vinci code challenge?
I've only got two puzzles I haven't figured out yet.. gotta get those finished tonight. Exerpt from the contest rules as follows
"Only the first 10,000 participants who, having correctly solved all 24 Daily Puzzles during Phase 1, submit a Puzzle Completion Form (and who thereafter submit a Contest Entry Form) in accordance with these Rules before 1:00 p.m. EDT on May 11, 2006 will be deemed "Finalists." Only Finalists are eligible to advance to the Final Phase. "
Have you seen that cook show on foodnetwork where they were looking for a new chef for a show?
Guy Fieri?? he owns several restaurants within a mile or two of my house. We are doing a celebrity server night @ his Tex Wasabi's in 2 weeks - our charity gets 25% of the take on food and bar from anyone that night who mentions our club. I get to bartend! woot!
nah, haven't seen him.. then again I only turn the tv on when I'm bored or need to relax. Which should be more often than it is.
BTW that google davinci code quest, what a crock. 10,000 people probably finished the quest a minute after it was posted. Now try looking up cryptex on ebay, there'as about 50 for sale on there, going price about a hundred bucks a piece.
If there's one thing I dislike worse than an game that offers you slim to no chance of winning, even if you do happen to actually use your brain and figure stuff out, and rather makes you rely on luck that you might've hit the send button before a million other people did, it's the dang profiteers that manage to beat you out, then sell the prizes on ebay at triple what they're worth, to people like you, who actually made some effort to play and have nothing to show for it.
Ah well, it was a lousy contest anyway. Give me a real treasure hunt anyday over any fake marketing crap.
thanks! we will! he is a nice guy and donates or cooks for many of our events. he's had to change his phone # 3 times, and the other day someone tried to pet one of his kids.
I didnt read this thread quick enough- I remember it being posted too late last year. I am still looking into it -we should be prepared for season 2. Get working on it now. Learn what we could really be up against. A player has to be willing to be away from home for up to 5 weeks.

It's sort of like Amazing Race with a DaVinci Code twist. Racing to find clues to solve the puzzle that will lead you to a $1 million hidden treasure. :ooh:
I haven't seen that link yet. Thanks Very cool! Man, we could do that big time. I must have been too involved with work last year or something. I'm kicking myself. That looks like an awesome time.
Thanks for the link me2. Usually I hate reality TV, because they tend to focus on people's interactions, and honestly I get that enough in real life.
Trying to figure out what they're exactly going to have to do to find this treasure, the previews make it look like some theatrics will be involved. Created by ron howard? producer of the da vinci code (saw that today... blah) If you ask me, jerry bruckheimer, who made national treasure, might've been a better choice.
Teamwise.. geniuses, ex-cia, air force, grad students, a family, a group of average joes (well at least they got one group of them)... guess they have all those bases covered. Again, I just gotta wonder what exactly they're up against. Nothing too complex, or the audience would get bored, but gotta be interesting enough to make ya think.. If you ask me though, all the schooling or brains or other life experience you have probably doesn't prep ya for what they'll throw at ya.
I might try and watch it, just out of curiousity for what they end up doing. As for the online hunt, I've been too soured on such experiences in the past. If I didn't have a job and could sit at home all day with a super-fast internet connection (like say a nice fiber optic T1) and good luck of the draw to boot, I might have a chance at actually winning that. But it's like any other national contest, way too many people involved which brings your odds down to something like winning a lottery (except with the lottery all ya gotta do is buy a ticket).
Personally, I think a good treasure hunter would try to find stuff that no one knows about, which would increase their odds exponentially of actually finding something of value.
Then again, what do I know, I'm just another arm chair critic. Just need to practice being more humble.

Immature ejaculation (Similar to premature ejaculation except male acts childish and throws a tantrum.) 4 calories
