Delivered pizza to a local hotel, and saw a bunch of people standing around their old cars.. talked to 'em about cars, and one guy even loved the Saab, lol.
There were some nice lookin' rides, however I wouldn't want to fill the tanks
Some message have been passed around about some New Yorker who bought an old farm property in Portugal with a barn that had welded doors. The story goes he was planning on tearing it down only to find a treasure trove of $35 million in classic autos inside.
THE TRUE PART:
There IS a barn in Portugal that had the doors welded shut and holds about 180 various vintage automobiles. A list of them can be found HERE
The cars are from a lifetime's worth of COLLECTING by a CAR DEALER in Portugal- not some lucky New Yorker. The barn doors were welded shut once the storage area was full for security reasons; the collector recently went back inside to photograph the inventory for insurance purposes and they ended up on the web.
It is still a neat collection to look at: Many of the photos can be found HERE
I gotta think with almost 40 years on their air - there HAS to be some nasty outtakes of Sesame Street somewhere. Where is that filmed? Time to raid the vault!
One of the best hours of my life was spent with Elmo. A couple Sesame Street characters were making a college tour on their 25th anniversary, and I interviewed Elmo (and the guy behind him with his hand up his butt) for the paper. I got so into it I totally forgot about the guy behind Elmo doing the actual talking and just talked to Elmo. I asked him if I could tickle him - and Elmo said "No! Elmo's been tickled enough!" and pouted.
Norton ad blocking and pop up blocking can interfere with youtube. It says you need to update shockwave player, but its just Norton screwing things up. Uncheck the options for those 2 things and it will work fine. (If its the problem I mentioned)
The damn video player doesn't work on this site for me. I'm getting tired of this update crap. Even high-speed internet doesn't make this easier to swallow.
If Adobe's Flash video is going to be the industry standard, then MAKE it a standard and quit doing these goddamn updates every three weeks! Each 'bug fix' delivers a new bug that's harder to fix! Why do we have to (literally) toss our cookies every few days just so one particular web site works properly?
Its probly not the flash player. Its Norton ad blocking or a pop up blocker. I had the same issues until I didabled it. Some videos would work, others would say I need an update. I went crazy trying to figure it out only to find out it wasn't flash player at all. I finally found the answer by googling the error message and reading hundreds of posts to find the "real" problem.
so the owner just sealed the place shut years ago and decided to go se how the collection was holding up after so many years? weird. get bored with collecting or something? investment?
wonder how old he is now - thats alot of dust and dirt!

That Gong Show piece was hilarious. The 70's were so non-PC by today's standards. I miss the 70's
